Commercial ID Tag Standardization
« on: November 02, 2007, 12:22:30 AM »
In order to nurture global trade and the movement of goods and people between nations, I suggest that a standardized frequency and an international database for commercial identification tags be created for civilian vessels and aircraft. This standardized ID tag will allow all nations to identify civilian vehicles entering their country and facilitate customs and traffic enforcement with minimal hassle.

This proposal is entirely voluntary, and may be applied by any nation. The administration and database require to run this program will be supported by IPO and it's international group.

While the Feniexian government agrees to this idea, we also wish that those tags are different for different nations to make identification easier.

Nations with existing ID tag systems may keep them for domestic uses. Features of the IPO tags include carrying vehicle registration, owner information, and country of origin. Other tag information maybe added if necessary.

Because I don't think that neither the IPO standard would be likely to be like the Feniexian standard and vice-versa. Feniexian tags contain much more informations and are expensive but are also a lot more secure than IPO tags; some other nations however might not want that high security standards.

well anyone has their tags, my product tags are very evolved, national companies by law have to publish scientific studies for their products if they want proof they are a benefit for human health. I think this job would be more for economical/political unions. But the standardization to global/universal systems, like the ATC, GPS and similar stuff ranging whole world should be standardizated by a global organization such as ours.

I don't think we should force nations to bring the quality of their tags down.  Rather, we should take the best tags and standardize them, thus bringing their quality up.

that's a good thought, but still, they have the right to deny more complicated tags if they think their tags are good enough and simple. But I mean a standardization of global systems, like GPS and ATC, to ensure coherence to whole world.

We provide peace and crime control trough monitoring our citizens movements - the usage of the Feniexian tag system would not only be very expensive, but also an infringe on the right for privacy in some foreign nations. Feniexia proposes a simplified version of our tag systems for global use; a sign with the vehicle's serial number, the driving license code, and the name of the vehicles owner, or, in case the vehicle is owned by a corporation, the corporation's name plus the vehicles type plus a identify number; an example would be "Synthfood Corporation CTS #23; "Synthfood Corporation" is the organization's name, CTS would stand for "Cargo Transport Ship", #23 would mean the ship is the 23rd of it's kind in the organization's possession.

OOC: Feniexian tags are some kind of combination between a vehicle serial number, some cargo signs on commercial vehicles and a display which shows the current user of it. The identity of the driver and the passengers are detected from a scanner and stored temporary in a internal memory device. As said, Feniexia is a total surveillance state ;) .

It says it's voluntary.

Bill passes. IPO Commerical ID tags will now be available to civilians and businesses.

ooc: The main purpose of the tags is to facilitate international transport and trade. For example, ships with these tags will allow customs to identify right away, speeding up shipping efficiency.
