So the point of it all  is?

The finest philosophers humanity could create have yet to be able to answer that question and the day the do the universe will be a far more boring place to be.

shoot...wish there was a guide " Taijitu for dummies"... How many other government officials have dual roles like Delegate and Minister of Internal affairs? If I understood correctly the constitution and internal procedures then the Delegate appoints cabinets? So the Delegate can appoint himself as a Minister?? I believe the list of important Tai people needs to be updated; Pragmia is now MoIA as I was told..certainly the officials listed on the WIKI page needs to be updated...whose job is it to be Secretary for these things around here?- a lost newbie

There is a Guide, actually!  The Guide to Taijitu is descriptions of all the different areas of the forum, many of which have pertinent information about what you can do there.  The Taijitu FAQ will answer many queries you may have about the way the region works, how you can be a part of it, and what goes on here.

The Delegate certainly can appoint himself as a Minister; it's quite legal as far as I can tell.  In fact, he would have to if he could not find someone to fill a legally-mandated position.  He could also do it for laughs or to obtain another title, but that would be rather self-defeating as the reason Ministers exist is to do the work of the executive branch that the Delegate would otherwise have to take care of personally.  It is important to note, however, that the Senate has the authority to remove Ministers from their positions if they have:
Quote
violated the Constitution and laws of Taijitu, broken their oath or failed to fulfill their duties
...so a Delegate who gave themselves such a position would have to do their job properly or risk facing a vote of no confidence.

The Important Tai People list is a personal, fun list updated by our resident pandaboy, Algerianbania, and not an official list of everyone who "matters" in our humble community.  It is awesome, though.  ;D  If you'd like to see it updated, you should contact him by posting in that thread or sending him a message.  (Don't fret if it takes a while to get a response; he's been a busy boy lately.)

As for the Wiki, I am clueless.  Maybe the Del takes care of updating it, maybe it's a group effort... I never even look at it, to be honest.  If anyone else knows, kindly share!  That's a good question!

Alot of people have due roles which i feel limits the opportunities but hey, that's what its like for now... and alot needs to be updating at the moment. The wiki page has a mod (cant remember who) but we do need to get onto that soon... *note to someone powerful who is listerning*

Oh, the humanity!!!

Yup I read the guide--and the constitution ( 3 times, lol and I still have to read it again!) SO apart from Algeriabania's fun personal list-is there an official list of whose who around here? Understandably with elections every 3 months it would have to be regularly updated...who are the other officials besides Pragmia with dual or more positions?

Actually, there is not an official Who's Who list... hmmm, that may need to be changed.  ;D

As for multiple-position members, here is a list off the top of my head that I reserve the right to edit later and pretend was perfect all along:

Allama - Justice (temporary), Minister of Community (as of the end of the current trial), Senator
Durnia - Justice, Senator
Gallipoli-China - Justice, Senator
Khablan - Justice, Minister of Community, Senator
Korinn - Vice Delegate, Minister of External Affairs, Senator
Of Crazed - Minister of Awesome, Senator
PoD Gunner - Minister of Defense, Senator
Pragmia - Delegate, Senator
Sovereign Dixie - Deputy Minister of Defense, Senator
St Oz - Minister of Regional Security, Senator
The G Rebellion - Justice (temporary), Senator

Note: I did not include Ambassadors, Army Members, or Recruiters on this list.  Also, feel free to correct me on anything I may have gotten wrong or forgotten.  ^_^

Wow, Mama Khab's in all three branches of Gov't, Legislative, Executive, Judicial, and not to mention she's a citizen as well...
Music is the key to the heart.

"Once art to me was something far off, unfathomable and unreachable... But I discovered that the real essence of art was not something high up and far off, it was right inside my ordinary daily self. If a musician wants to be a fine artist, he must first become a finer person. A work of art is the expression of a person's whole personality, sensibility, and ability." -Shinichi Suzuki
