Hey Bara, I know everyone else lets you put their threads to shit, but please leave my threads alone.  I made this post to read about what people thought about tea, not for you own personal post count bump.  If you have nothing to contribute, don't even waste my time.  Posts like "Ok"and "Rwar" bring nothing to the topic, or don't even venture into interesting off-topic.

So I ask you before you hit the post button in a thread again, to think, "Does this thread contribute to the quality of the thread/forum?" if it does not, don't post.  Keep that crap in the spam forum.

Back on topic, yesterday I had two huge cups of tea.  My main problem is I only have one larger cup, and the rest of the cups are not large enough for my tea desires.  Time to rock the tea kettle.

It's a brand of Iced Tea in the US.

Well, I never heard of it. Our Iced Tea market is over-dominated by Lipton. Nestea tries to make a stand but...no use.

Now about normal tea, we have large access, maybe because of being the ones that actually destributed for long time trough Europe, we have tea coming from every side, Gibraltar(the 'routes' passing trough Morroco, probably Indian and North-African tea), England, and China are the most common, and again, flooded with Lipton.

I don't trust any iced tea which lists "flavor" as an ingredient... I had always thought that flavor in tea was provided by the ingredients, but how can flavor be an ingredient of it's self. Whenever I cook or make my own teas I don't add "flavor" and it still has taste

What's the practical value of that? Who drinks tea is civilized?

Tea is a medium, be it warming or cooling..it invites unpolluted communication-communion, sharing..but also drunken in isolation-it invites reflection, pause and sanctuary.It lends art and decoration to the substance of water-to which we're all dependent.

Personally I favor the loose black tea too,yet occasionally,there is nothing as refreshing as sweetened cooled hibiscus, or ginger, lemon, mint and honey, hot or cold.
I'm a big coffee fan too..no doubt...but coffee isn't nearly as charming.

lol...it's basically the same here, allot of us drink either coffee or tea, because of colonies and trade-routes, after all, it was us who implemented it in Europe, specially England.

Although in this cases I rather be practical, I see no practical value over tea, pragmatically it only warms you, gives you flavor, and probably gives you comfy tummy, the rest is wonder.

I must agree with Templarios; truly cultured (and quite correct on all counts).  Tea seems to possess the very essence of tranquility and spirituality; some nearly otherworldly quality that inspires and enhances the mind's ability to find peace, centeredness, and a muse.  Sharing tea with another allows for a deep sense of communion, as you say, the warmth, flavor, and scent adding a feeling of openness and calm.  Never have I managed to discover why it makes one feel such things, but over and over again have I experienced it.

This doesn't, of course, usually happen with iced tea in my experience (or the flavor of the feeling is diluted, at best [oh gracious, terrible tea humor]).  I won't touch "tea mixes", those awful powders you mix with water to make tea-flavored drinks, unless served them by someone in whose home I am a guest, at which point I do not wish to offend.

That is most certainly NOT the saccharine to which I was referring, I assure you!  Artificial sweeteners are of the devil.
