Christstan/Abed Nego Entrance into PI

Kaiserin Selene paced back and forth in her husband's office. She thought to herself about his decision to go north to fight the rebels. Now she had to take the helm as head of state. The years that she had seen. She looked not a day past 28, but in reality, she was a Feye so she was around for almost a century. She looked at the portrait of Paul and her hanging from the wall behind the desk. How deeply she loved him. In the few months since their marriage, they have enjoyed a great life together. But today was about her skills as a diplomat. She knew her duty. She must bring the Holy Empires of Christstan and Abed-Nego into the Pax Imperium fold. Amazing how these things come full circle. It was less than a year ago when the Empire of Canada joined the alliance. A ceremonial guard walked in the room. "Your Majesty, the diplomats from Christstan and Abed-Nego are here."

The Kaiserin smiled. "Alright, let them in." The guard bowed and left the room to bring them in.

[Emperor Heindrick]

 The "diplomat" sent on behalf of Christstan was the highest ranking in the state, the Imperial Minister of Foreign Affairs had gone himself to secure such a large alliance and trade network. Dr. Erik Frei was a respected man in his nation and new what he had to do in order to maintain the respect of his people. Flanking him on both sides are two tall men clad in unassuming black suits with white undershirts and black ties. They wore black sunglasses and had a semitransparent white earpiece going from their ears to their jackets. These men were armed to the teeth with concealed weapons and bulletproof armor. Christstan did not expect any mishaps but they would cut no corners in the protection of their officials.

 As the group was escorted in and they entered the room, the three gave formal bows and Erik spoke out "Your majesty, it is my honor and those I represent, to be standing here before you in these halls that will serve as our meeting place. I am Dr. Erik Frei, Imperial Minister of Foreign Affairs." He spoke English as a second language so despite his accent his words were fluent and those of a seasoned diplomat.

Selene returned the bow. Dr. Erik Frei, I am Selene Artorion, Kaiserin of Canada and Empress of the Imperial Dominions. I welcome you to Winnipeg. We will begin the moment that the diplomat from Abed-Nego gets here. Your Inglish is very good. Enjoy yourself until the other dilomat gets here, have a drink."

[Emperor Heindrick]

The diplomat nodded his head and took a drink and a seat. His escorts stood on either side of the chair like statues. He would wait patiently and make light conversation while they waited. "Thank you, many in our nation speak the language as a second language. I find the language to be very contradictory in it's rules and laws, but it is holds a great deal of flavor when used correctly..." He paused for a few moments and then continued "I do hope our final ambassador arrives soon, their are very pressing matters of state our nation must attend to after such a long isolation. None as important as this though so I shall wait."

[Abed-Nego]

Crown Prince Noah Knight walked into the Kaiserin's office with his two guards. The guards were dressed in their ceremonial unforms with great headdresses of long feathers. Noah bowed to Selene. "Kaiserin, my father Emperor Shadrach Knight sent me to sign the treaty with you and Christstan." The Kaiserin showed him to his seat next to Dr. Erik Frei. Kaiserin Selene took er seat on the other side of the desk facing the diplomats.

Kaiserin Selene pulled out of the desk drawer a folder with the Pax Imperium symbol on it. She pulled out a piece of paper with the signatures of all the current Pax Imperium countries. "Now by signing this document, you both will be members of Pax Imperium. By signing the PI Treaty with Canada, that will extend to all of the PI nations. You both know your oblegations and commitments by joining this alliance, so I will not take up anymore of your time. Sign where your nation's name is and then you will be full-fledged PI nations."

Kaiserin Selene passed the document to Noah first so he could sign it.

Pax Imperium

Articles of Alliance

 We, the undersigned nations, in order to secure our national defense, to protect our national identities and sovereignty, and to assist one another in times of both peace and war, do hereby establish Pax Imperium, hence forth refered to as "The Alliance"

 I. Military

 1) An attack upon one shall be considered an attack upon all member of the alliance.

 2) Each nation retains the right to maintain, fund, and utilize it's military in whatever manner it sees fit.

 3) Action may be taken jointly by the alliance by vote of simple majority.

 4) Action may be taken unilterally by nations wishing to do so, in order to secure it's own national interests.

 5) A minimum of 10% of each nation's military is to be appropriated for use by the alliance.

     A) Alliance military structure shall be segregated by national origin, with commanders of each nation   overseeing their own but superceded by Pax Imperium military command.

 6) Overall command of Pax Imperium forces shall be designated by majority consensus to a number of commandres not to exceed four. Army, Navy, Airforce, and Supreme Command.


II. Trade

    1) Members of the alliance agree to open it's borders to free trade from other alliance members with the exception of...
 
    2) Being that members may choose one sector of it's economy to which the normal trade rules of said nation will apply except in time of war.

III. The office of Chancellor

 1) The office of Chancellor shall be created to serve as the chief executive authority of the alliance

 2) The Chancellor shall be responsible for overseeing meetings of members of the alliance, bringing new issues to vote before the alliance, and conducting relations with other alliances and nations.

 3) The Chancellor shall be elected to a term of 2 months by majority vote of votes cast.

 4) The Chancellor may be removed from office by a 3/4 majority of votes cast

 5) Should the Chancellor be inactive for a period of no less than 10 days, the office will be considered to be abandoned, and emergency elections shall be held, following the guidelines previously set forth

IV: Amendments to the Articles of Alliance

 1) This document may be amended in whole or in part by a 3/4 majority of votes cast

V: Voting

 1) The period of voting on all matter requiring a vote shall not exceed 7 days.

VI: Domestic Affairs:

 1) Pax Imperium in whole or in part shall not interfere in the internal affairs of any member nation without the explicit request or consent of said nation.

*Noah studied the alliance traety with great enthusiasm. studying it. looking for secret aganda's or withheld information. Truely, his father had been right. The Kaiser's  true intentions were merley that of an alliance, an deserved the respect he had earned. Noah motioned to one of the gaurds to come hither. The gaurd sat up, a large african man of about 30, 6'7", 300 ponds. dressed in african cerimonal garb, he resembled an ancient zulu soilder. he removed from his robe an ivory box and opened it before his majesty, crown prince Noah. inside was a pen. elephant tusk, ingraved with the motto of his country, and used the very ink that was used in the fountain pens that signed the document that acknowleged Abed-Nego as a free, holy nation. Noah took the pen and, with great ease and effortless grace, signed the document and returned it to her majesty Kaiserin Selene*

 Dr. Erik Frei watched the show of this nation's culture. It was clear that that pen held some significance of which he did not know nor did not care about at this moment. He only wished to secure his nation in this glorious alliance. From his breast pocket was a black and gold pen, a very nice pen at that. He took the document that was being shifted across the table and put his pen to the paper. On behalf of his nation he signed his name then took out the Imperial Seal, showing he had the graces of the Emperor in this action and gave the paper a small stamp next to his name. All seemed to be set and he rose to shake the hand first of the Kiserin and then to the prince.

 "Well your majesties, I believe we are now all allies. Should you need the aid of my nation, please do not hesitate to ask. I will request that the Second Imperial Army, 3rd Fleet and the 2nd Air force be assigned to the alliance military should it be called up. That would number around 2,700,000, or 10% of our military. On behalf of the billion's of Christstanians I represent, I thank you."

 He did not leave for wished to see if there was anything else that needed to be said or done.

Kaiserin Selene and Crown Prince Noah looked first at each other and then at Dr. Frei. Selene spoke up. "Well two nights ago, the prince's country had a coup. The Chancellor set up a dictatorship. We are requesting a small force to go and join the Emperor's growing army. He is building up a gurellia army. I have already sent in our Legionaires, but we need a few more. The extra help will be good."

[Emperor Heindrick]

 Dr. Erik Frei looked to them and smiled, his nation's military was itching to see action and they had a few experimental units that needed testing. He would only be happy to oblige. He would not, however, overstep his authority. He began to reach for his cell phone "I Believe that my country will only be happy to aid. One moment please, I need to confirm this with my superiors."

 He dialed the number of the emperor and waited a few seconds before it was answered. This number was top secret and also only used for important things so the emperor always took these calls. Dr. Erik Frei began to speak in German and after a few moments he nodded and hung up. This was the beauty of an Imperial System, things could be solved quickly and effectively on the spot.

 "The Emperor wishes to aid his allies in whatever way he can. In fact, he tells me he has already asked the Abed-nego nation if they would like aid. We will pledge up to 800,000 Special Forces and Ground Forces units with several bomber and fighter wings. That force could have the nation secure in a very short period of time."

[Aquatoria]

The Kaiserin and the prince smiled. That aid will be more than enough. Selene turned to the good doctor. "Then let's get what needs to be done, done."

[Emperor Heindrick]

 The diplomat nodded and bowed to the Kiserin. "I will ask the Emperor to give the order to move now. The troops will be deployed momentarily, they have already been notified I believe. It is likely the Emperor ordered their activation already."

 He called the Emperor who told him the units would be ordered to move in the next few moments. When the conversation was done he nodded and said "It is done. The world shall see the might of our armies."
