For all those community events such as the summer BBQ and the youth group - a space for general chat, questions about Christianity and anything else really!

I worship Jesus Christ, does that make me a Christian?

Why is do bad things happen if God is real?

With correct grammar, is that: why do bad things happen is there is such as thing as a good God?

Short answer: free will

But there is no such thing as a good God!

He is devoid of concern or sympathy!

And with the power he has, why shouldn't he be? Humanity is nothing! He doesn't care.

The deaths of millions of innocent human beings due to famine, war and disease? How can you actually justify that as God being 'good'? I don't deny the existence of a more powerful higher deity - I merely believe that it doesn't give two shits what happens to such a vile, pathetic race such as humanity.

But that's OK, you can still form your little Church groups and sing about God and his love for all of us. We'll see if you're still preaching that bullshit when, say, your family are killed in a horrific car accident? Oh wait, the sad thing is, you would, convincing yourself it is Gods 'divine intervention' and that your family really had no place on Earth in the first place.

What if God is love?
That's a hypothetical of course..( to not be preachy), but love is voluntary, and no authority of what's besides itself.
Tolerance, generosity, patience, openmindedness, and anything having to do with chord progressions....

How and if, according to Christianity, God is different than love...how is the Christian God different from love?

OK, ( Socrates also spoke of a God of Love), so if LOVE is the father of Jesus, is love equally your or my or anyone else's father, according to Christian belief?

Im guessing that when you love you mean is God equally divided between all us?
Yes
