Açores and Madeira Islands never had people living in before the Portuguese. Although they are small for a primitive autonomous colony, only sustained by someone else with shipping on and off the island can maintain it. and can't be that far from the mother land., if you ever to it, make in this conditions which are the most realistic.

So make them inhabited.  Simple enough.

Um those islands would each have ~10,000 people on them, the chances that many islands are uninhabited is nearly impossible. They'd probably even have technology, like AK-74's, T-72 tanks, jeeps with machine guns etc. Hell, the larger islands might even have more, but I'll discuss with Oz the possibilities of fracturing your mainland, but it'd be unfair to give you all or half the islands.
I have become, again and again.

With small, I mean, sized about a small agricultural or fishing village...and I think, in a large nation, there should be more of them. Feniexia might be very centralized, but there are small villages in every large RL nation as far I know...

Hm, maybe I will be RPing colonizing some larger islands...let's see. But I still want some small ones ;) .

EDIT:
@Bender1968: We don't really use much from the NationStates game in the RP section...it's just far too unrealistic. The only thing you must do when you wish a spot on the map, you have to promise you will be RPing. See the first Post in this read for details.

Quote
1. Population
2. Ethnicity
3. Preferred Climate/Geography
4. Agricultural Society, Urbanized Society, In-between, Raw Resource Society. (basically it will determine the size of your nation and whatever you choose is what you get, no switching from Agricultural to Urbanized so you get more land... Any notions of this will result in immediate removal from map)
5. "I promise to participate in National Roleplay and understand that if I do not I will be removed from the map." (I won't remove those who have done something and then go AFK, but I will remove those who haven't been active in their account for about a month or so unless informed otherwise)
6. Any other comments you want me to know

1. as of now, 761 million
2. Mostly Asian (Indian, some Russian), the rest is American, some Australian, and Mandalorian (look like more built Japanese people with markings on them)
3. Mostly Indian-type climate, with more of a Himalayan climate in the north (think mountains and such), desert in the west, and average climate of central/south India.
4. A bit of in between Agricultural and urbanised
5. I promise to participate in National Roleplay and understand that if I do not I will be removed from the map.
6. I would like to have a plot near the coast, given that I've made an order for my navy.

Thanks :) :panda:

FYI Gov, this isn't NS-based. You don't have to use the population of your NS nation.

Whatever you're happy with as long as your RPing is consistent with that of a highly populated country if you have a large pop.

Ok, in that case i'll have my population be its current one (according to NS) + 500 million.  Fair? :panda:

The US has a population of 302,763,469 and has the third largest in the world, unless you count the entire EU which has 492,964,961.

So like what Oz said... Just rp it right...

Aside from RPing in terms of military appropriations and economic factors, what do you mean? :panda:

Countries with large populations usually have a large underclass, for example.
