"So be it fools!"

"Word Bearers, activate teleporters, set for off ship!"

With three loud clangs, the Dreadclaws detatched from the loyalist vessel just as the Magus Mechanicus and his acrolyte arrived in the chamber within, in time to experience the air of the chamber rapidly escaping through the three large holes in the hull where the assault pods had been attatched.
As the fifteen terminators rematerialized in space off ship, the self-destruct was ignited, engulfing the ship and many Hell blade fighters too close to escape. Of the fifteen terminators that boarded, two managed to materialize in the same space as a Hell Talon bomber, dying instantly along with the servitor pilot, the uncontrollable craft now accelerating towards the planet. Another three wasn't successful in getting enough distance between themselves and the loyalist ship and were vapourized along with their armour in the explosion. The remaining ten was hurled away through space by the powerful blast with very little chance of surviving once their armour was out of fuel.

"By the Emperor" Xerxes recovered from his surprise bringing his las gun to bear on the damned beasts.
"Fire at will. Take them down." he yelled.
"Form a circle and stay close. This will reduce there area of attack."
Lieutenant Xerxes cursed the fact that he did not have his bolter with him.
They had been issued las-guns for this mission as not to damage the Harvester machine.
Kommissar Mortis stood tall amongst the men, holding a bolt pistol in each hand and taking time to aim carefully.
He presented himself as a target and when the beast-birds attacked brought down two of them at once.
"You sure life in an interesting place lieutenant" Xerxes shouted at Vink while picking up another creature.

In orbit around Selgrix

The Imperial dreadnought "Starslayer" fell out of Warp right above the planet.
It's sensors picking up the Chaos barge and the exploding troop transport.
Shields were up and the ship was on full battle alert.
"Open fire as soon as you have a target lock." Captain Armand yelled across the bridge.
"We will show those deamon scum what it means to attack a ship of the empire. Let us clean the universe from these vile creatures."
The main guns fired, together with the missile batteries and secondary weapons. Even the anti-fighter guns spit doom forth from their barrels.
The dreadnought fired anything it got. Armand was well aware of how dangerous the chaos forces were. He would not give them a chance to strike back.

"This isnt half as bad as some things."

Vink then shot his shotgun again, bring down 2.

"Like, if you are not carfull, you could be visted by ghouls."

Vink Then ducked, as a bird tried to grab his head but missed. He shot the bird as it started to come back. Soon, all the birds were dead. Vink picked up a bired, and looked at it.

"Well fellas, whos hungry? This is something you can eat, ya know?"

On the ground, the Chaos Armour pushed forward towards a new objective, a native village that the natives they encountered earlier had fled to. The predators going as vanguard and on the flanks, rhinos and dreadnaughts in the centre while the land raiders brought up the rear. Overhead, the warband's raptors jumped from cover to cover, racing with the rapidly moving vehicles below them, eager to catch their fleeing prey, knowing that no horse was fast enough to outrun them. Between the vehicles, posessed Word Bearers darted to and fro, their demonically enhanced bodies allowing them to keep pace with the rapidly moving tanks and transports.

In the skies, a whole different set of events was now possible to witness from below without even using visual aids, the exploding transport temporarily outshone the sun, and soon after, the two fairly even-matched battleships started their exchange of ordnance in low orbit.

Brother Dengar cautiously approached the ornamented door where two of the body less Thousand Sons marines was standing guard. He knelt in front of it and the door opened before he even thought of reaching out towards the door switch.

"Lord Ahriman, the..."

"I already know, escort me to the bridge."

Without a word, the two body less fell in behind them as he escorted the master sorcerer to the bridge of the battle barge.

OOC: Night time for me, Status of my presence on and above Selgrix:
Artemis, Chaos sorceress, the Dark Apostle Khorgar, and a squad of Thousand Sons bodyguards are still in the remains of one of the Tau LZs, about to 'interrogate' the surviving CO that's lying naked in the dust by her feet.
Main part of the warband heading for a native village in pursuit of riders.
Battle barge Scourge of Truth in fierce combat with loyalist Dreadnaught, Ahriman about to assume command of the chaos ship.

OOC: Redo, like emp said.

The villagers were walking around, tending to there normal business. Some where making pots, others were skinnig aminals. The local milta was walking around, making sure that there was no trouble. Then, Mounted Soldiers began entering the gate. They quickly began desrcinging what they saw.

"There was these..these... Metal mosnters! And these...these...freaks that could...could...run as fast as any horse!"

The villagers began paincing. The milita quickly dismissed the riders.

"Peolpe, peolpe. These guys are problay just insane. There is no such thing as a metal mosnter!"

A nervous laugh came out of the villagers, who began to get back to work. However, the milta then began to walk towards the walls. If the riders were telling the truth, they had a problem on there hands. a  big problm.

OOC: Emp, is that a littile better?

Battle of Selgrix. Lower orbit.

The first salvo from the "Starslayer" forward guns left when she was still 1,000 miles away.
A second and 3rd salvo followed at 900 and 800 miles bathing the enemy warship in a ball of energy.
"Helmsman set course upward 5 miliradiens, roll her to port. Port gunners ready to fire by numbers on my command" the Captain ordered with a calm voice.
The controllers at the rudder stations reacted without hesitation.
The mighty ship fired maneuvering thrusters the size of houses and lifted it's bow upward ever so slightly.
The humongous vessel started to roll to it's port side. Closing in at nearly 10,000 times the speed of sound the Imperial Warship cut across the Chaos Barge upper bow in a nearly right angle.
In this position the barge was at a disadvantage because she could only bring her upper guns to bear while the "Starslayer" hammered away with her full broadside.
One after the other of the mighty guns set off slamming gigawatt's of power  into the upper shields of the Chaos warship.

OOC: Barak, a 110mm cannon would NEVER be able to tip over a tank, not even an APC like the rhino when not even an armoured train can. The only way a tank can tip over is if the driver takes it sideways over a way too high ledge (at least as high as the tank is wide). You tried to cover too much, the first post of a battle should be detection only. redo it and do it right or be ignored. (the odds look quite grim though, the armour, the posessed and the raptors is moving at around 30mph average, 12 predators with autocannon and heavy bolters, another 9 with lascannons in turret and sponsons, 30 rhinos, 10 dreadnaughts 9 land raiders, ~150 raptors and ~100 posessed, some of the possessed have wings, many have pre-heresy colours on their armours and yet some even has loyalist marine colours, they were captured and made unwilling demon hosts)

In low orbit:

The commander of the Scourge of truth reversed engines at full power, putting a stress on the hull that no fully man-made ship would sustain for long. Slowly, the shuddering hull moved backwards, decreasing the strike angle towards the puny loyalist warship.

"Master, upper bow shields at 50% but holding, servitors and dark mechanicus are working on the shield generators to increase output."

"Good"

"Master, alignment acchived."

"Launch bow torpedoes!, full salvo!"

The kilometer long missiles accelerated in their tubes as multiple warp rifts opened in front of the tubes with similiar rifts opening just inside the dreadnaughts mid-ship void shields.

"Time to impact 3... 2... 1... Impact!"

Three of the six warp-missiles launched went low and missed the Loyalist ship while still detonating against the far, inner, side of the dreadnaughts shield. The other three struck home, their magna-melta warheads impacting against the mid-ships battery decks.

OOC: A lot better :)

Approaching the coordinates, the warband halted along a ridge overlooking the settlement, vehicle after vehicle rolled up, forming a wide battle-line along the crest. In doing so, they broke a few tactical taboos in favour of psycological effect. The raptors gathered below the ridge and out of sight along with the possessed and the dreadnaughts.

As one, the over fifty vehicles started to move down the slope towards the village, side by side as a wall of metal. Still, they held their fire.

OOC: yey.

"What the?"

The milita looked at the seemling wall of moving metal. They stood there, fear wegihing them down. Then, one manged to ring the warning bell. The villagers began to flee to the warhut, hoping that they would be safe. The milta, too shellshocked to move, knew that they were doomed. they couldnt do anything. anything.

The raptors could no longer stand beeing left out of the action, activating their jump packs, they rose to the skies and flew over the slowly advancing vehicles below, letting out vicious howls and mad laughter amplified by their vox systems, almost drowning the roar of their jump packs.

Seeing the pack of raptors, so many they blocked out the sun, charge ahead above them, the tank crews opened fire with everything they got at anything they saw, be it man or beast, soldier or child, the fire was utterly indiscriminate.

The shells began falling evrywhere. The millita huddled down wherever they could, trying to get away from the shells. Body parts flew everywhere, and the sounds of screms could be herad. The lvinig ones looked up, and saw these flying men, whoese voices were so loud, descned into them. They were cut down. Barely anybody lived the first attack by the shells, now they had to deal with these insane mosnters. Within mintues, the entrie village was dead. Nobody was alive. No warning was rasied to other towns. They were all doomed.

Azog, one of the aspiring raptor champions walked among the buring ruins of the native village, he was looking for something. At his belt, there hung several meat hooks with the freshly severed heads of several villagers. He thought he saw something skin coloured move in further beneath a sheet of corrugated metal that drew his attention and he moved closer, tossing the sheet away.

OOC: Barak, it's up to you to decide who/what survived the assault

OOC: Ok.

The man felt the hot metal being lifted off his back. A shell had tossed him from the warhut into this, where a piece of metal fell on him. He rolled over, half hoping that it was some milita fighter. When he saw it was one of the flying men, he began to sweat.
