I wanted to run them since I enjoy trying out different stuff, but first we got to see if people liked the idea, and using the ranholn tracker insures the nations can never be anything but poor 3rd world

Heheh, what I wanted to do is RP an island nation of 20,000 based on a Simcity of mine, providing for quite a few interesting stats (how many students are currently enrolled at Central High...)

But more importantly, I really don't like all this talk of RPing multiple nations. It never ends well. And believe me, I've tried it before and it gets incredibly awkward attempting to manage two different nations without having their interests and policies overlap (which of course is puppet wanking).

yes, but what value will this nation be. I want it to try out different things, this nation wont be able to change it, and if we find someone running one is trying to puppet wank, then you give it to someone else. I dont see how a nation with 4$ per person can actually make someone powerful.

The power does not come from a low income, but rather a low cost of living. When you have citizens needing only 500 dollars a year to live comfortably compare to 50 000 dollars for a another country, the trade advantages are significant.

A, but CL, that's not the way he's choosing to RP.  He's choosing to have a dirt poor country, with a dirt poor people, susceptible to corporate exploitation and propaganda of all sorts.  In other words, he's making this nation our playground. 

BTW, if you want to get it on the map, Ranholn, could you put it south of St Oz and slightly east of Confederate Freedom?  I'd be oh so grateful.

this will be a nation where poverty and starvation are common. Disease is rampant, water is a rarity. Not a nation that can run trade advantage, but one with people killing each other over the smallest resources.
