I FUCKING DECLINE until Funk tells me I can run.  If that happens, then I will *respectfully* decline.

I don't get this but I take it its because funk isn't happy with anyone else whos won recently?

Finally, I get to say this: I run, but I'm currently holding another office.

Unless you want to remove that law....

No, it's one thing that Funk refuses to acknowledge that some people have been doing their best to grow things here while maintaining a respectful attitude.  But it's completely another thing to actively work against progress by halting recruiting without so much as a "somebody else do it."  Just to prove a point and rail against some perceived slight somewhere that not all of us were involved in.

Since public office and basic government duties are apparently something for Funk to throw around for his own amusement and/or vengeance, I not only decline the nomination, I do so vehemently.

Potential nominees should be aware that the removal of the office of Citizen-Liaison is currently being discussed here.

As such, I suggest suspending both nominations and the vote until further notice.

I would suggest letting them run their course, this way when the discussion is had re: abolishing the office, there could be a new one by the time thats taken care of

This is fine too. I just don't want to elect a Citizen Liaison who sits for a week and then has their office removed. Anyone (not just me) can move stuff to a vote, so feel free to do so when nominations end.

I also just realized (oops) that technically, the non-regular election needed to be voted on by the Ecclesia, but let's just assume it was implicitly approved by the existence of this nominations thread.

Shhh, don't point out my illegal election :P

Also had thoughts about how awesome the title I could have if the position got abolished after me taking office again (assuming I was voted in of course) "First and last Citizen-Liaison".

Ftr, I noticed o_o

But given the general cavalier approach to laws, this seemed like the least egregious mistake. Not worth making a mess with :P

You already have a title, Lawspeaker Khem.

Also I am looking for a Citizen-Aide to replace me in the event that I am to be executed. That counts as a responsibility, right?

After giving it some thought, I've decided to decline my nomination. Khem is more than a solid enough candidate for the position and has put a lot of time and effort into this community and as discussed one does not need to be CL to affect meaningful change in the community. :)
