Military Q & A
« on: February 02, 2007, 05:19:14 PM »
Ok, this thread serves to answer any questions you may have about our army, or joining it. Let me start with one that I'm sure is on alot of minds......

Q: I said I wanted to join a while ago.... no one contacted me.. what the fuck?!?!?

A: Sorry, basically, what we've been doing is creating a region from scratch, we've had to prioritise, so things like drafting our Constitution and creating the Senate came first. We are now at the point though that we're going to begin creating our army in earnest. I thank you all for your patience, and rest assured, you'll be contacted shortly! :)

Q: When do we go on missions? I wanna kick some ass! PWNAGE!!!
A: You'll all need training, even us experienced players are going to take a refresher course, then we will conduct some training drills. Once that is complete, then you will be ready for deployment.

Q: What do I need to join?
A: To be a citzen of Taijitu, and to have a UN nation. That's all you need to start!

A: In much the same way as you do in an RL army, by exmplifying comptetence and skill in the field, and showing leadershp ability.

How often will this army be used?  My UN nation is often elsewhere.

As a follow-up to Bustos' question.

Q. If one first needs to show exemplary skills in raiding/defending to become a commander, who leads our armies first?

Another stupid question...

Say I did 'sign-up,' could Gnoled Ttam's forces be used just for defense and not for offense?

A clarification:

Warfare in NationStates consists in moving UN nations around to take control of the UN delegacies of regions. RP national forces and strengths have nothing to do with it.

Also, signing up for the Taijitu Army would be considered a full commitment to both offensive and defensive actions. Once you're in the army you don't chose which wars to fight.

WHERES THE FRIEKIN BARRACKS?!

I don't think you're in the army just yet, I'm sorry. When Merlin gets back you can talk to him about that.

Simple (Shagras) I can accept your application, but you must understand that you will also be sent on invasion missions as well as defense.

Is there like an army roster of all the people who are in the army?
Member of the Order of the Gryphons, Senator of Taijitu, Ambassador to The North Pacific, Deputy MoEA of The North Pacific, Member of the Regional Assembly of The North Pacific

I believe I(and maybe Elu) are the only ones who actually have an official roster. I don't feel that I should release an actual one for security purposes.
