[informal] Constitutional Convention
« on: December 01, 2015, 01:19:40 AM »
Well, the time has come according to our current laws.  Let's see what happens!

Cit. Initiator's note: This is not an official vote, but I'm leaving it here.

Just a reminder that to legally change (including abolish, presumably) the Constitution there must be two votes both passing by a supermajority.

I belief this vote is just a vote having a convention, at which proposals which would have to then meet the standard you mentioned would be proposed.

It's a bit of a leading question, but I don't want to bother to argue over phrasing. Also I added [VOTE] to distinguish it from other threads that will probably have similar names. I'll keep watching in case there is a dispute, but I'm at least going to leave this up.

It was unclear to me if this vote is about having a convention or adopting Khem's original proposal, which involves dissolving the Constitution, or at the very least amending it so the Ecclesia does not exist. Since the motion was on Khem's proposal and not the middle ground I assumed that was the matter at vote.

The proposal this vote is on its to simply hold a constitutional convention to draft a new Taijituan constitution to replace our current one representing the Glorious Revolution.

Along with the constitution itself, we will discuss names, community, the forums, and the general future and vision of what we'd like Taijitu to be.  :)

(If this passes, there will also be a vote on exactly how we meet, whether it be here, IRC, Skype, or anything else.)

There was never a motion and a second regarding that course of action.

Myro, are you back? Myroria is in TNP, you said you were leaving.
You've also said you prefer to RP in TNP.

If you're back in Taijitu, that's fantastic. I'm just curious as to what extent you've returned.

I'm thinking of following your lead and leaving after a month for a year or two.

At least I stay gone when I leave ;)

If you took that as hostile, btw, you're mistaken. I'm trying to gauge how active you're going to be in fields I'm interested in.

Thank you for clearing your intentions up. I am not sure to what extent I will be involved at this time.

There were at the very beginning of the thread.  :P

This is confusing as fuck. The proposal Khem brought up is what should be going up for a vote.
