Music is the key to the heart.

"Once art to me was something far off, unfathomable and unreachable... But I discovered that the real essence of art was not something high up and far off, it was right inside my ordinary daily self. If a musician wants to be a fine artist, he must first become a finer person. A work of art is the expression of a person's whole personality, sensibility, and ability." -Shinichi Suzuki

The money you see on the side of the screen is for the forum OOC rather than IC.

And for trackers, NSTracker is silly, as it takes dollar values from other trackers and then states them in your currency without adjusting for exchange rates, giving really warped values. I prefer greatly Sunset Tracker not only for giving sane values but also for accounting for the effects of high or low taxation as per the Laffer curve.

Though overall, when it comes to RP I suggest doing everything in your power to avoid having to use calculators outright and any sorts of statistics. It's RP after all, not some RTS or such.

I prefer http://gusto.jactivism.com/steadystate.php because it allows for flexibility, still reduces your actual stats based on taxes, but shows your international debt.

The information is taken from a statistics thread showing what % of the economy you have as private economy, sectors etc. which is how NS calculates how the issues affect you. The creators of these calculate GDP per capita, then average in the total pop and tax percentage (or they should calc taxes in, but NSTracker doesn't). They then divide the total GDP by the %'s which tell NS what your governments priorities are. They don't make the information up (except the fact the GDP per capita rarely meets the required 90 marker for the HDI, even with a powerhouse economy) they just make the black market %age up based on tax rate I believe. I have a Powerhouse Economy with a massive private sector and my black market is still 65% according to Sunset, because i have 100% taxes (which I'm trying to lower)
I have become, again and again.

Hello, good day and sorry for bothering you.
I do hope this is the right place for this question. I`am thinking about joining your region (on invitation) and would like to have some information before I do so.
I would like to outline my nation for RP (being a long time Role player, playing an entire nation is a wonderful challenge).
I have seen that there are some sites that can provide you with stats about your countries money. However the links don`t work. I get a "Page not found" message.
Also i would like to know how I can send money to other nations and how I can make money from selling my nations products.
I looked in the RP thread but could not find a answer or even a place to ask.
Thank you for your help.

Well, the current public view is that you use some NS tracker, most of which can be found via Google, enter the name of your country and then read the budget entries etc..

That said, my way is making the figures up because NS is silly.

Money can be transferred via RP posts and national products sold in RP posts in the "RP Shop" subsection of the Roleplaying area.

Hope this helped,
Soly,

We more or less just RP our nation sending money to the intended recipient.  Just say you're doing it, and we play it as you have.  Here's an example:

Quote
To: Generic Nation A's Treasury Lord
From: Generic Nation B's Minister of Finance

We accept your offer and will send the promised 3,000,000 currency to you upon receipt of the goods.

Money isn't a very strict concept here; the general rule is to be reasonable given your nation's economy and people ignore those who are not.  As far as selling your products, open trade agreements with other countries.  This is also usually done in character.

(Soly posted while I was typing, but I'm posting anyway gorram it.)

Thank you both very much for your quick reply and helpful Info.
i think i will try NS Tracker and just adjust the figures to make more sense.
