ooc: war went like this:

  • Xyraeli sends 10 million troops to Saletsia, does maneuvers with Saltsia and Barakarin
  • UFM and PRL buildup, including readying of nuclear first-strike weapons
  • Saletsian use of IRBM's equipped with conventional warheads against military targets as well as high concentrations of military personnel near cities
  • PRL first-strike nuclear attack
  • Saletsian nuclear response
  • UFM nuclear attack
  • PRL Self destruction
  • Xyraeli launch of 24 RS-24 ICBM's, totalling 240 10kt nuclear warheads, 120 per nation
  • Xyraeli pushes troops into PRL, encounters minimal resistance and massive death toll
  • Xyrael seeks war crimes
  • PRL offers land to Myroria, Myroria ultimately relinquishes claims
  • UFM surrenders

I have become, again and again.

"Well it seems that this is all coming together. I would like to ask those officials from other nations to appear as witnesses. I will assemble a office to gather all this information for presentation before the court. Excuse me for a moment Doctor I have to contact the PI about this matter. If you like something please just call my secretary."

He walked into the next room sitting down to write a letter. She could hear the clicking of the keyboard.

General Asin listens...a guard passes than his footsteps fade away. It was time...

It was 10:24 pm, and it was lights off in the Terranger prison where they have imprison him. For the last few days, the general timed and observed the patrol schedule of the guards. Now that he had it right, it was time for me to do what he needed to do to escape.

He had his cell door curtains pulled back, than using his pillow case, knotted the bars together to prevent the door from being open. He had several minutes before the next guard comes around. He worked fast, taking a bed sheet and twisting it to a rope. He got up on a chair and threw the sheet rope over a overhang ceiling pipe. He made the proper knots, then slipped the noose around his neck.

"Heaven forgive for this..."

He kicked the chair underneath him, and the sheet rope and noose went tight. His neck didn't break, his body began flinching and his lungs struggled for air. A guard got hold of the noise and ran towards the cell. By then, it was too late. As the guard struggled to open the cell door, the last breath of of the General gave out, and his body went limp.

The last conspirator of the nuclear holocaust, was dead. And like the death of Loyalist, in his own hands.

"ALERT, ALERT" The guard screamed at the top of his lungs breaking out his machete that every Terrangan soldiers carried. He cut away the fabric that held the door closed while other guards scrambled by.
He tore down the curtain.
"Gods" the guard gasped"Call a doctor, get him down there."
One guard graped the mans legs and held him up to take the tension from the bed sheet he was hanging on, while another guard jumped up and with a swing cut the self made gallow. the body dropped and was caught by the guards.
"Were is the damn doctor" The guard yelled and removed the bedsheet. the guard started respiration as the doctor came in.
"Make way" he yelled and immediately began efforts to resurrect the man.
After a few minutes he stopped. He raised his head and looked at the officer that had come in.
"I am sorry. He is gone"
The officer cursed.
"Get the General on the phone" he said. "This is much more than worst. And immediately secure the other prisoners. I want them guarded  round the clock. Have them cover there eyes if they wish to sleep but no lights out and no curtains. A guard at every cell."

Ambassador Hielo who asked for the prison and the high-ranking Loyalist prinosers be closely monitored was appalled by what she heard. Though she did not believe everyone of the conspirators had died. It seemed all too easy for the Loyalists.
Anyhow she phoned someone in Terrangar in charge of the Loyalist prisoners:
"This is Dr. Conchita Hielo, Saletsian ambassador to Terrangar. I would like to request that the corpse of the said Loyalist General be turned over to Saletsian custody as soon as possible. Thank you."
She then put down the phone and awaited reaction. She found it quite annoying that now foreign nations seemed to be protecting the Loyalist criminals and instigators using "justice" as a foul excuse. She has also been informed of the failure to hunt down Loyalist criminals in Ottawa.
Then at last, a reaction from Bandana:

Quote
Saletsian Public Notice

All Loyalist citizens on Easteros and in international waters and airspace outside the neutral territory of Terrangar will be arrested and tried by Saletsian forces. No Loyalist citizen is allowed to leave Terrangar. Any attempts to do so will lead to death.

Minister Yar stood beside Doctor Hielo in front of the dead body on the table.
"...clearly shows dead by strangulation" the doctor ended his report.
The body was nude and in good shape for a man of his age. Only the pale skin gave away that he was dead and only  the strangle marks around his neck gave away the reason why.
"The Loyalists have asked us to bury him here . They also send us this.2
He handed the Doctor a large document folder.
"This is a copy of the original. We will provide the original to your government and that of Xyrael. I advise you that we have no way of telling if this is true or not."
"Maybe your Intel-services can uncover this. It depends id justice is served here or if we go and extend the war spreading it to other nations.
Also Doctor I know that you have suffered a lot in this. We will continue to provide as much assistance to you as we can. But i sincerely wished your people would not threaten us. There is nothing that will come from this"
He sounded tired and showed signs of not sleeping for a very long time.
"So we gave you the body and you stood witness to the examination by the hands of your own medical doctor. What else do you ask or demand  from us?"
His voice had the sound of someone who did not care much anymore, probably to a lack of sleep.
But even in this situation the tought never crossed his mind that they should have just left all those people alone with their problems.
No this was all the fault of governments. Yes the people elected those but in the end he could not hold them responsible for this. Whether they were Salestian, Xyrael, Chinese or Unionists. There humanitarian efforts had nothing to do with this.
He took in a deep breath.
"I hereby, on the ground of my own nation. ask your government for release of the civilian officials from this prison. This document shows that they had nothing to do with this"
He stood at attention like he was back in the military again.
"Let`s just wait for the hammer to drop" he tought.

Dr. Hielo noticed the negative feeling of Minister Yar.
"I believe I have to apologize for the actions of my fellowmen but I do ask you to understand that it is as though all those responsible for this nuclear holocaust - which we tried to avoid - are getting away with it. They either kill themselves, are supposedly innocent or are now under the protection of the Pax Imperium in far-away Canada.", she paused, "We are not interested in any further escalation of this conflict but want to see those responsible for the death of millions on all sides punished - not only tried but punished." She paused again giving the corpse a look full of disdain.
"As for the corpse it would be nice of you if we were allowed to take it to Saletsia. We will not give him the honor of being buried in his own land. He shall remain our prisoner for all of eternity. This may sound a bit cruel but amidst the suffering millions had to endure due to the deeds and decisions of men like him, he deserves even worse."

"I must ask you to forgive me Doctor" the Minister said "We all are tired and I understand , no I can not understand what your government is going trough. No one who has not suffered the same can understand.
This all is to terrible for the human mind to comprehend. I had so much to do shortly after this. With the tension up I had been able to turn those thoughts away. But now the full scope of this is setting in."
He turned toward the woman "I ask you to give me some time to think about your request. At least until I got some sleep. He will still be here. You can leave as many of your guards at this place as you like. Our men will support you.
It`s not like he is going somewhere" he said as he looked at the corpse.
More to himself he said "The mind can not understand how much horror a single man can come up with."
A man entered the room and saluted. "Minister Yar. This came in from the CQ government."
The minister took the document.
"They ask us to return the refugees to their new home at the PI. Their government want`s them back. At least those who wish to go. I will inform them that this is difficult at the time."
he handed her the new document

"Also I would like your governments decision on the civilian officials release if you can find the time. We have provided you with their identification and papers. Maybe a genetic analysis will prove if they are who they claim. But this would be easier if we could work with the PRL government or the Canadians."

"Again accept my apologies"

"Please excuse me." Dr. Hielo turned some steps away and used her cellphone contacting Bandana. After 5 minutes talking she went back closer to Minister Yar.
"Although Bandana is not really happy with it, it has agreed to allowing civilians be moved to Canada under the condition that there will be a multinational security team that will check everyone's identity.
I hope this lessens the pressure posed on Terrangar at least a bit."
She paused.
"And as for the corpse, I trust you and the competence of your soldiers. We won't need to let any Salesian guards in here. They shall wait until you have come to a decision regarding our request - and please take as much time as you need. We know that dead man won't go anywhere."
She looked a Minister Yar again:
"I believe it'd be best if you took some rest. May help.."

"Thank you for your understanding. I will have this vault sealed. and guarded by our best men. Also I promise you I will take some rest but first I must inform the Canadians. And please be sure to express my gratitude to your government."

He turned toward the Captain of the guard."Inform Lieutenant Colonel  Aeron to send his men and come here personally"

Doctor Hielo had already turned away to leave.
She could not see the Captains face turn pale.
"Y..Yes Sir Minister Sir I will inform the C..Colonel right away. He..he will make sure that this place is safe. Yes he will." The Captain hurried past the Doctor and out of the morgue.

We shall immediately comply with your wish.

MinisterYar opened the door. He helped Doctor Hielo out of the car.
“You know the way Doctor.” he said in a friendly tone.He felt a lot better now with the new Chinese government at Canada agreeing to the Salestians demand.
“I will go ahead.”
He turned around and was startled by the man suddenly standing there. The stranger was tall. Very tall. He had blond hair and blue eyes that looked like compressed Ice from which all air had been squeezed. His face did not betray any emotion. He radiated a aura of icy coldness that made the hot Terrangan air feel cold. Doctor Hielos closed her jacket with a shiver.
The man saluted in a perfect motion.
“Minister Yar. May I ask you and your guest to follow me. Please stay close. My man have been ordered to kill anyone that approaches if I am not present.” He turned around and walked towards the prison complex. He did not make any sound while moving.
They approached the short stairwell that led to the morgue. Two man in black uniforms there faces covered by masks and wearing night vision goggles lowered their machine pistols as the group approached.
“Open” the Colonel said.
Without a sound or a second of delay the men followed the order.
They walked down the remaining stairs and reached a second guard unit at a second door. After that came a corridor with 4 more guards.
“I wished we had given them the duty to guard the prisoners. Nothing of this would have happened”. Minister Yar said “But maybe it is better that way” he added in his mind.
At the last door they entered the room. The Colonel stepped aside and suddenly even the air in the morgue felt warm.
He moved his hand and one of the soldiers opened the locker. He pulled out the table. The general was still there looking as peaceful as before in his frozen state.
"On behalf of the government of Chinese Loyalist I hand the body of General Asin Mia over to the government of Saletsia represented by you." he said in a official tone.

Dr. Hielo was happy things could be agreed upon by all sides.
"Thank you very much, Minister Yar, for all your efforts."
She turned to Saletsian guardsmen and gave orders upon which they picked up the corpse and put him in a steel box. Dr. Hielo once again thanked the Minister from Terrangar and ordered the transport of the corpse back to Saletsia.
"I believe now we have some time to take some rest," she said with a relieved voice.

"Good night Doctor" he said as he watched the Saletsians leave.
He suddenly felt a ice cold shiver.
He watched them take the box with the body away. "May whatever gods you have be merciful on your soul General" he whispered as he watched the group leave.
It looked like  Xolotl   had come from hell to claim his price in the form of the General. If he really was the one to blame then it was a fitting end.
Finally after so many days he would be able to sleep.
"You may recall your men and return to your barracks" he said to the Colonel.
The man saluted and left with his troops.
The Minister waited some more time.
Then he left the morgue and switched of the light.
