Ozian-Christan Border Tensions
« on: August 08, 2007, 07:20:39 PM »
The Sancta left power of the military to Pri'Admivi Iulia Nepesha Verion who was quietly drinking tea in the morning when all of the sudden her cell phone started to ring. It was Dielpov, head of STIA. She picked it up and heard his suave voice, "Hello lovely."

"What do you want Dielpov? I'm not going to another one of your stupid dinner parties."

"Hold it hold it Iulia, I'm just calling to inform you of something."

"What?"

"5 Minutes ago, the Sancta and Res'shev declared war on Sovereign Dixie."

"Oh dear, now I have to actually work, thank you for informing me."

"I know you never check your emails."

"Har, har. It's like you stalk me. I bet you do, have a huge folder all about me you little snot."

"Hey, hey, I prefer to call it State Security checks."

"Right, good bye Dielpov, go screw another one of your interns."

"Will do."

Iulia flipped down the phone with a smile and picked up the phone in her office. She was plotting ways to perhaps invade Sovereign Dixie but then remembered about PI. Christstan was in PI and she would have to take them out quickly. Perhaps if PI goes to war with St Oz she would have to call Mor'os for some assistance. She then wrote out orders for the mobilization of 10 Blue Army Ianuav to the border of Christstan and various other branches. About 200,000 Blue Army soldiers would move to the border where they would stress PI. She also called in the head of Mor'osi Armed forces and informed him about the possibility of invasion. These were the descendants of the Da'zhi who kicked out the Ozians long ago. Truly a national enemy of St Oz, perfect revenge. She wondered if they would kick them out after the invasion, like they did about 1500 years ago and send them to the deserts. Old Ozia would be back into Ozian hands, what a victory.

Movements of the Ozian army were quickly picked up by the various intelligence satellites and patrol craft. The Empire of Christstan would not tolerate such acts of aggression and similarly followed suit by deploying the 1 Million man Army of Maxony, the Emperor's own army. He would make a statement by this, using his own resources to defend his lands. Also large wings of the air force were moved into position. Though Christstan being a civilized nation, sent a message to their bordering nation via an officer under a white flag.

"Your Majesty, surely we do not wish a war of this magnitude! By all means, Christstan will be victorious, but think of the loss of life!" This from the Emperor's Chief adviser on Foreign Affairs, Dr, Erik Frei, minister of Foreign Affairs.

The defense minister stepped forward "My Liege, your armies shall fight honorably in your name. We do not fear death and would gladly die in the defense of our land. Such acts of aggression cannot be condoned nor ignored."

"You surely are not saying we should go to war?"

"That is precisely what I am saying, The Christstan army needs to be proved on an international scale. Small time rebellions in small countries will not give us the respect we deserve."

"A war over respect? Why I..."

The words of the Doctor were cut off, Emperor Heindrick grew tired of the constant struggles between these two men. One was too aggressive, the other to passive. Though that is why he was Emperor, he found the balance and right choice from the extremes of his advisers.

He looked to the assembled men, "A letter shall be delivered to the Ozians. We shall demand the de-militarization of our border and offer peace to them while reminding them of our military strength. Then, should they not heed our act of civilized diplomacy and are truly as barbaric as they say, I will gladly lead our men into battle."

The men nodded, their Emperor always seemed to have the answer.

The letter delivered read as follows

Quote
To The Esteemed Ozian People,

Your recent act of aggression towards our border has not gone unnoticed nor overlooked. We have deployed a massive force to defend our border and will not yield an inch should you step foot on our soil. We however do not wish for it to come to this. As two civilized and powerful nations, this can be settled in a diplomatic manner. All Christstan wishes is for the de-militarization of the Christstan-Ozian border by both your people and ours. Christstan shall not attack our neighbors, but should you press your forces against ours, we will be unrelenting in retaliation.

Be wise, avoid this senseless conflict.

Signed,
Emperor Heindrick von Weiger

ooc: This is a secret telegram to Christstan, so Oz, you don't know anything.

Quote
To: Emperor Hiendrick of the Holy Empire of Christstan
From: Kaiser Paul

We are angered by this sudden move by the Ozians. We wish to come to the defense of your nation, but unfortunatly a new bill had passed that lowered my military to three million men. They are better armed, morale is higher and their fighting ability is grand. So if war breaks out, I would like to send a few battalions over to act as volunteers in your army. It would give my soldiers better training and perhaps even better fighting skills.

Do not fret anymore Da'zhi Emperor, we are pulling back our mobilized forces and only put them there in the first place for security should your Country side with Sovereign Dixie in what would have been a war. However there is peace and so we are already in the process of demobilizing the area. Try and sleep well Da'zhi.

The Arm yon the Border was removed, save 300,000 men who now occupy the fort built there to defend the border. No incursions were made into Ozian lands.
