«Sensors Sub-Officer - Hugo Ventura, NDS Pronto
22 de Fevereiro

We were bored to death until they gave us greenlight. The sun coming up on the horizon, everyone was in a hurry to leave the valideen docks. The bridge was being commanded again by Almirante (Admiral) Fontes. No one but him knew what they were doing. «Another training with the Valideen navy» Thought the boys, we were going to be debriefed in open seas. But there was so much more ships than usual, and not only Valideen and Delfian, other nations were represented. The ship's radar was showing a large number of vessels all around us during the trip, although in the horizon we left visual contact long ago, why were we going to different places, why east?
I think we are going to resolve the situation in Dysanii, this must be it. I fear such amount of naval vessels will either result in large number of casualities, or the enemy will be scared to death, and we will save the lives of everyone involved. They are going to be serving a Takasian dish at lunch. I hope it's not the same shit I ate the other time in the Bright Takasia, probably the only Takasian restaurant in Navirsk, thank the motherland.
Dysanii is far away, I will have time to send some letters to my love, the ship is safe, we're packed with helicopters and several launchers.

We were debriefed at lunch, the Takasian dish wasn't that bad, but what we're into is very serious. Seems we're part of a massive naval operation to control the southern seas. I'm glad we're not alone on this, »

"Captain, sir."

"What is it Charles?"

"Orders, sir."

"Well?"

"Green Light, proceed with Operation Marlin Swarm, out."

"Thats it?"

"Yes Captain,"

"Ok, ACTION STATION!" Two loud sirens were heard through out the ship. A similar action was carried out on teh 41 other vessels in the Valideen contingent.

Well, here we go again. Admiral Marko Hudson looked from the bridge of the heavy missile cruiser Inglish Columbia. The rest of the High Seas Fleet was around him. The "Invincible Fleet" was moving west for a secret mission. Other fleets from the AC alliance were involved in this operation as well. Admiral Hudson looked out at sea. The George the Great, the only Artorion supercarrier was north of the Inglish Columbia, while to the south and east were the Vikrant carriers, John Cabot, and the Alexander Mackenzie. In front of his ship, Marko could see his ship's two sister ships, the Ontario and the Manitoba. All around these mighty ships were cruisers, destroyers, frigates and submarines. This fleet was moving as fast as they could. Marko wouldn't miss an operation like this for the world. After all, the southern seas were his seas.

"Marlin Swarm is going ahead Sir"

"Thank you."

"Send out the necessary orders"

"Sir"

As he hangs up the phone, he thinks to himself, 'better get back to bed, maybe my last full nights sleep for a while.'

"ACTION STATIONS!" the voice screamed through the loudspeakers aboard Le Corbusier, the flagship of the Varkourian fleet in New Delfos. The sailors stopped what they were doing and responded immediately.

"Crew of the Le Corbusier, it is time to leave Nouvelle-Delfée. We are heading east."

"Is everyone here?"
Ventura was standing near the rest of the sensors team, the personnel certified the Admiral that everyone necessary was there.
"Good, I'm sure you all understood your role in the Operation Marlin Swarm, we're in the support task, the white task as they call. The helicopters must be ready for lift off, we're almost arriving to the first action vector of this operation, there was some intercepted messages from enemy vessels going to help blockade Dysanii, preventing the coalition and the allies to supply or support the current mission in dysanii, aka DYSFOR.
This vessels were recognized by the Valideen navy sensors, and we've got an estimated location.
As soon you're dismissed from here, I want you all to start preparation to launch the recon helicopters in patrol runs, never at the same time for sure, and prepare the heavy ASW helicopter for eventual use.
Our friends, our own motherland comrades need us! We're a key feature in this operation, this ship and all the others around us.
I'm sure we can deal with this few ships and move on to more serious scenarios. Yes we're not here just to hit and run, we're just the first of many.
Do you all understand your role?!"
"Sim senhor almirante!" *unisound*
*With a smile* "Any further questions?"
"Não senhor!"
"You're not to be dismissed yet, the moral and propaganda officer wants you to listen to a message from the motherland."

the speakerphones got on.
"Unite, free men of the motherland, the day of glory has arrived. Against us are the tyrant imperialists of Pax Imperium, our banner of freedom is raised. Their ignorant soldiers come to enslave us and those less fortunate, shooting any men, women and children that resists.
What does their horde of slaves, traitors and bloody imperialists want? For those who fall in their lies are enslaved forever?
Delfians, for us, for the freedom of the world! What outrage, it is our freedom  this imperialists dare plan to return to the old imperial slavery. We earned our freedom once, lets not give it away, or let any other lose it.
Tremble, Pax Imperium! You're the shame of all good and free men, tremble! Your dark plans will receive the answer of the free world! Against you, we are all soldiers, if you murder one of us, others will born ready to fight against you!
Delfians, for the ones enslaved, bear or hold back your blows, spare these sad victims, that they may regret taking up arms against us. But not those bloody imperialist tyrants, those accomplices of Satan, all those imperialist suckers who mercilessly ripped out the freedom of their own!
Sacred freedom love, lead and support our avenging arms. Liberty, cherished liberty, fight back those imperialists, under our flags, let victory hurry the freedom of the enslaved, so that your enemies, in their last breath, see your triumph and our glory!

Good Luck! Soldiers of the motherland, for glory and freedom!"

*An old navy hymn starts, made some of the men start singing it*

The admiral wasn't very fancy of this propaganda stuff, cut the singing with an hard cold voice.
"You're dismissed!"

"What a lovely speech" commented a friend of Ventura.

Ventura: "You couldn't say that with less sarcasm."

"Well, it's my job as a soldier to listen to this crap, whether I like it or not."

Ventura: "I don't care if it's crap, serves it's purpose, if not to you, at least to many of us."

"Don't get me wrong, I'll fight those pigs whether I have to agree with the system or not, for all I know, it's for freedom we fight.

Ventura: "For freedom..." «It's was a way of seeing things, after all, they didn't have time or patience to think about this, they were just doing their jobs, and the naval force was paying pretty well, half idealists, half mercenaries, that's what we are.»

With the music still on, some of the pilots were already ready to start the patrols. The mechanics were checking the helicopters, while pilots were being instructed by the tactical officers, some others were making com checks.
Ventura looked at the radars, his concern was that he only registered friendly ships.
"Sir, no enemy ships on the radar, vector is in sight from GPS confirmation."
"I'll communicate to the admiral"
Seems the admiral liked fresh air, the officer gone outside to find him.
"Sir, we need you in the sensors and com room, vector is in sight of the radars and still no sign of enemy ships"
"Ah! No problem, we will find them soon enough. We've got some Valideen ships some miles away from us, we should ask them if we all start recon now or just in the vector, mind the vector is still away from the estimated location, we didn't want our task force close to them. It's work for the intercepting task, the blue task, to deal with them directly and in 1st hand."
"OK sir, here's the radar confirmation, this Valideen group is the only one ahead of us."
"Make signal, don't use COM. Signal for breaking COM, if they communicate with us reply what you just told me, no enemy ships on radar, then say I've asked if we start the patrols now or in vector. Use White Horse for patrolling code."
