"Urgh. I gotta take this, recess." Meneldur Tar-Ilium got up from his throne around the table. The Congress of the Council of the Great Houses was suspended, for now.

"What? What is it?" The Empeurer said, the double doors being shut by guards.

"You better come down here, Your Majesty. Search warrant for a possible human trafficking base turned up something much closer to home."

Meneldur sighed. He peeked his head through the double doors he had just exited.

"Congress postponed." they shut again when Meneldur got back on the phone.

"What's the address?"

"6 Grand Circle, Pelagis."

"6 Grand Circle? That's that old warehouse we've been trying to buy from the owners for months, such a huge obstruction. I'll be right there."

Meneldur just had to walk down a few blocks with his bodyguard to get to the eyesore. There were patrol cars all around the site. He walked to the man wearing the colors of the County Pelagis sheriff. He was very short, Meneldur had put his head at a 30 degree downwards slant just to look him in the eyes.

"I want the whole story."

"Well, Your Majesty, we got our search warrant from one of the Judge Mineur in the Court District; there's been women coming out and going into here for a while now, and this place sure isn't a registered brothel, even if it is, it violates the law prohibiting brothels on government-owned land. So, we figured it was a human trafficking operation based out of here. So, we broke in, and - "

"And?"

"Well, there wasn't any trafficking operation. But there was a desk behind a wallscreen at the back of the warehouse with a letter on it - written in Farsi. Coded Farsi. Real big on metaphors and words meaning other words. It's gonna take a while to decipher it, but our translation had something worrying in it. The words down and capitalism appeared in the same phrase or even sentence. A lot. It's worrying, sir. We're keeping this whole place on lockdown, and we're just waiting for your command on what to do next. Oh, and they're not religious fanatics either. They're Muslim, we can tell from religious symbols and rugs laying about, but they never mention martyrdom or dying for their religion. The whole team is fairly sure they're working for some kind of group. A group that's fairly well organized. Nothing over in that hellhole with the Zionists. There's only two communist Arabic nations - Gallipoli-China has no reason for attacking us; we support their secession. That leaves two possibilities: A huge terrorist organization, or Nukallaya."

Meneldur just stared straight ahead. A terrorist attack? Either based in Myroria, or directed at Myroria herself? It's never happened since the Royalists detonated a few bombs in the Parliament building during the Myrorian Civil War.

"I'll think about it," he said finally.

"I'll get back to you."

OOC: I'm Turkish and Nukallayah's Persian/Turkish (I think).  Just so you know.  So the code would probably be in either Turkish or Farsi, not Arabic.  Sorry to butt in.

two weeks later

Hida Reyon and his sister Victan were walking on the many busy streets of downtown Na Sui. Today, they were taking a well deserved leisure day in the rowdy metropolis after exams; doing some shopping and meeting up with some friends. Victan insisted on walking around with their hands held, and Hida could do nothing but agree. While they were all in their late teens, Hida didn't mind sparing some dignity for his sister.

"Hida, the new Elimia album just came out! After lunch, let's go pick up a copy!" said Victan excitedly. Hida shoke his head and grin. "We got forty dollars from dad and mom to spend, I'm not blowing half of it on some coarse voiced singer with no talent."
"You take that back!" Elimia burst out, nearly pushing his startled brother into traffic. "Wo! Alright, we'll get it, no need to kill me over it..." Hida said after recovering. "Heaven, you can't treat your older brother like, I might sell you to a old man for it." Victan stuck out her tongue. They both laughed out.
Suddenly a voice calls out to them. "You two are looking jolly, as expected from Yui Lan High's #1 Super-Siblings." A short boy in a blue stripe shirt and baggy pants walked out in front of them and gave the two a over-the-top smile.
"Saji! When did you come back from training? You left right after exams!" Hida exclaimed, then gave Saji a friendly push to the shoulder. Victan gave Saji a tight hug, nearly choking the stick-thin sixteen year old.

"Ah, Victan! You're ruining my hair!"
"Heh, sorry!" Victan pranced behind his brother and giggled. Saji fixed up his gray slicky hairdo and answered, "Militia training was canceled, for me at  least. The older recruits went for jungle training in Vai Shan. Us 18-belows couldn't go...most of us didn't seem to mind."
"I can tell why," Hida chuckled out. "Me and Vick are going for lunch at the Apple House, you in?"
"Sure, not that I got anything better to do." Saji replied.

The three chatted and laughed as they made their way down 49th Main Street. It was the afternoon, and the whole street was packed with office workers and weekend shoppers making their way to the Peach Orchard District; where Na Sui City's largest restaurants and food courts were located. The smell of food soon revealed itself as they crossed the last intersection to the Apple House, a fast food joint at the edge of Peach Orchard's main square. It was already packed, but the waitress managed to find a table at the back corner of restaurant. The trio sat down and placed their orders.

"A pinaka salad for me please," said Victan.
"Salad again?" Hadi remarked.
"I need to watch my weight!"
Hadi shoke his head in disapproval. "A sixteen year old shouldn't be on a diet; she'll have a Songhai Fillet with wedges instead."
"Brother!"
"Listen to your brother," Saji added. "No man likes a girl without some meat on her body, parts of it at least."
"Saji, make another joke like that and you're getting a beat down..."
"Haha, i was joking around...right Victan?"
"I want a salad!"
"Ah, alright...get her ~"

A loud hissing interrupted them. The other patrons noticed as well, and searched for the source of the noise. "What was that?" said Saji. Victan replied, "I don't know, a giant pop bottle being open?"
The waitress was clueless as well. "Please excuse me, I'll check with the manager about the noise," she said. "Please wait here, I'll be back soon to take your order!" She gave a quick smile and took off.
"I don't like this, something is wrong..." said Saji as he got up from his seat and began sniffing the area. Within seconds, he broke down on his knee and clasped his mouth and nose. "Ah, what's that smell! It's burning my lungs..." he murmured out. Soon enough, the other patrons noticed the smell as well and clasped face. Saji struggled up, Hadi ran over to help his friend up. "Saji! What's wrong!" His friend panted and began breathing heavily.
"It's......it's gas! Don't breath it in! Hadi....acchh!!" Saji clasped his chest, wincing in pain. Utter confusion ran through Hadi's mind. What the hell was going on? Moments later, the other patrons began to feel the effects of the gas as well. The air they breathed in began to inflame their nostrils and burn into their lungs. Hadi gasped as he was hit by the effects, pulling his shirt over his nose to escape the gas. Panic struck him, he wheeled around to check on his sister.

Victan was coughing heavily, her cheeks and face deep red. Her fingers clenched tight on her shirt, her eyes wide as she struggled to breath.
"Victan!" Hadi yelled out. He rushed to his sister's side. "Brother!...acch!" she gasped out. She tipped over on her seat, Hadi barely managed to catch her before she fell off.
"Hang in there...ach...I'll get you out of here!" He struggled to get her sister up on his shoulders. The effect of the gas was getting to him as well, the burning in his lungs increased gradually. With a dying Victan on his back, he grunted forward towards the exit, coughing regularly as the burning soon got to his brain. The manager, who had also realize the gas, held the door open while covering his mouth with a paper napkin. "Get her out of here! Call the police! Get some help!"

Hadi fell on the sidewalk, the weight of Victan's body over him. Onlookers looked in shock, stopping to help. A lady in office blouse came over and rolled a sub-conscious Victan off his back. "Oh Heaven! What happened here?" she asked out. Hadi coughed, "..Gas...ack...gas attack...ach..ach."
Lady gasped in terror. She took a look at Victan and realize the reality of the situation. "Hang in there kid. Someone call emergency! There's been a gas attack!" Without a moment to lose, the lady turned Victan on her back and began performing CPR. Hadi watched in horror as Victan's eyes began to close. He could hear her breathing get softer and weaker...despite the attempts of the lady. Hadi struggled up on his knee, the pain in his lungs still present. Taking a deep breath of fresh air, he moved over to his dying sister.

"Victan! Open your eyes! It's me!"
"Stand back kid!"
"Victan! Wake up!....Wake up!!!" he screamed out. Tears flooded out from his eyes, dripping onto Victan's now pale face.

The lady pushed him aside, and he fell flat on the sidewalk pavement. "Stay where you are!" the lady screamed out. She went back to resuscitating a lifeless Victan, her eyes drenched with tears as well. Hadi recovered from the push and watched the lady's unsuccessful attempts, breaking into uncontrollable crying as he realized his baby sister was dying in front of him.

In the corner of his eyes, he saw passersby rushing into the Apple House to carry gassed patrons out from the death zone inside. He saw one of them carry out a stubby boy with blood botched on his blue shirt, laying the limp body on the sidewalk. He recognized the boy...it was Saji. The lips of his mouth were dripping with blood, his eyes stared lifelessly up to the clear sky.

In the background of cries and yells from hysteric rescuers and conscious victims, the siren of emergency vehicles rang out over the Peach Orchard. In the distance, more screams and yells came from the other corners of the district. The entire place had transformed into a disaster zone....

Two loud bangs in succession rang through Tar-Ilium Plantation. The Imperial Guard had opened Meneldur's door so fast it collapsed the doorstop and hit the wall.

"What's going on?" said Meneldur, waking up from his half-asleep state on the sofa.

"We're taking you to Fort Huygen. Get your shoes on."

Anyone else would have been shunned for such impoliteness, but this was the Imperial Guard. Meneldur slipped his loose loafers on before being escorted to a helicopter outside. The rest of the Imperial Family was already in there; the future of Myroria was more important than the present, so they were loaded first.

"Loyan's been attacked," said the Kaptain Mineur of the Imperial Guard, Hupprecht Patrick. He was the first Myrorian in space*, so he had been rewarded with position. After. Position.

"We're getting you guys the hell out of here," he continued, giving the thumbs-up to the pilot. As they crossed the air base outside the nearest city to Tar-Ilium Plantation, Vrontrentrith, some fighters circling above the air control tower took up positions behind the helicopter.

"What's the situation with the Houses? We can't have a House War break out during this..." Hupprecht trailed off.

"During this?"

"During this threat."

"Not too good...

At the last Congress, Erwin brought up the issue of the restrictions placed on unions. He's calling for the unions to be allowed easier negotiation, and me and Hanso are against it. It ended before we solved anything."

"Do you think it's serious enough they'd start a House War?"

"Maybe, you know those Vrotriths. What's with the obsession over House Wars? Their only victims are the nobles and Vrotrith bureaucrats."

"We can't have any disturbances under these threats, Your Majesty. Here's the fort."
"I assure you -- I will be quite content to be a mere mortal again, dedicated to my own amusements."

State Emergency Address
At around 12:26 pm yesterday, an attack on Loyanese citizens with chemical weapons was carry out in the Peach Orchard District of Na Sui City. I regret to tell you two innocent lives were claim in the aftermath of the attack, with hundreds of others severely injured and dozens in critical condition. I give my sincere apologies to the victims and their families for the failure of the State to prevent this frightening tragedy...

While details of the attack are still being uncover, we know that it was aimed at three well visited food service establishments of the Peach Orchard District: The Apple House, Junlin Seafood Frenzy, and the Red Autumn. The weapon in question were several sophisticated aerosol dispensing devices hidden in the air conditioning and ventilation ducts of the buildings. The devices were set of simultaneously, releasing an unknown gas agent into the surrounding air which caused victims difficulty in breathing, severe sinus congestion, and inflammation of the lungs and mucus membranes inside the nose. For the two victims that died, suffocation was the cause of death. This chemical agent is believe to be of advance nature, one that requires sophisticated manufacturing. The origin of the gas used has not been pinpointed, but our intelligence agents are working 24/7 to uncover where the gas came from.

State Police has manage to secure four suspects with clues uncovered. While we are not at liberty to state their names, we can tell you that one of them was a recent employee hired by managers of Junlin Seafood Frenzy. Our investigation team is doing their best to reveal more information about the attack and those involve. So far, no organization has claim responsibility to this detestable attack, but it's planning and sophistication point to a larger involvement. I assure all citizens, that the State will track down and convict these disgustable criminals, and make them pay for their trespass of human life and harmony. During this time, I ask every citizen to remain strong and vigilant, so we may live through this day of infamy.

Fort Huygen, Above Ground Facilities

"It has become clear to the Imperial Family at this time that Myroria is under a state of attack from terrorist forces." said Meneldur Tar-Ilium, looking ominously around the table in Fort Huygens. It was made of obviously faux wood, and wasn't nearly the highest quality of that back in Pelagis; the stewards probably got it out of an elementary school cafeteria.

"Today," he continued, "His Highness, the Count Tarantius Traval, was killed in a car accident. The suspect; the alleged terrorist apprehended at 'The Wherehouse, Pelagis', did not confess but said, and I quote, 'Myroria had it coming to it, just like what happened in Loyan.' I think we're all in agreeance that he and his accomplices cut the brake lines, hmm? Hmm?" Hmm? Hmm? Just like his father.

"No," said Erwin Vrotrith, standing up.

"Great House Vrotrith declared House War not long ago. We killed the Count."

"Don't make me laugh, Erwin." said Hupprecht Patrick, the Kaptain Mineur of the Imperial Guard and the embodiment of the fuzz to all angsty teenagers in Myroria.

"Don't make me laugh. For one, there's no such thing as House War. It's a term the Myrorian people use to describe unfortunate coincidences. Quarrovth should know. We're the oldest. And you're lucky I don't have you slapped in irons for suggesting you sanctioned the killing of someone, let alone the Count of Traval!"

"Don't deny it, Hupprecht. You know there's House War." Erwin stood up. He always did when he was trying to make a point.

"Shut your traps, the both of you!" said Meneldur. Alvar Hanso just looked on with a smirk on his face.

"Erwin, it's clear you're just defending your Nuekallyan 'comrades'. Hupprecht, yes, there are House Wars, and I plan to make the Tar-Ilium dynasty the first to admit it. But that's beside the point. This is no House War; cutting brake lines is not in the honorable 'creed' of those quasi-mercenaries we hire. A creed of murderers, heh.

"Clearly, gentlemen, this was a case of terrorism against Myroria. Other nobles of lesser importance have been killed or injured from similar attacks of differing approaches in the past weeks. I think the time for deciding is over, gentlemen. I will prepare a statement to the Nuekallyan government, and the IPO, of our intention to stop the attacks however possible. In addition, Loyan will also be informed that we have been attacked and told the source, though I'm sure our intelligent compadres over there know who's doing it. That will be all gentlemen." Meneldur shut his manila folder, closed his briefcase, and walked back into the subterrane.
"I assure you -- I will be quite content to be a mere mortal again, dedicated to my own amusements."

Peach Orchard Gas Attack Report

Complied by the Head External Surveillance and Investigation Division of State Police

The following report has been organized and amassed from data and evidence collected and analyzed by HESAID investigators regarding the intentional use of lethal aerosol chemicals on citizens harmed in the Peach Orchard District of November 18th, 2712.

In the targeted buildings, several highly sophisticated weapon devices were recover from the vent of all three buildings by Hazardous Control personnel. The devices were found to have the finger prints of three out of four suspects arrested by Na Sui State Police. Refer to page 12B for further details on the chronology and method of the attack.

All four suspects houses have been searched. Two of these searches has uncover possessions of items and notes detailing the methods of the attack (map layout, restaurant brochures, lockpicks,...etc) including printed instructions that relate to the use of the aerosol devices used in the attack. Several non-permitted small arms were also found. Several key documents have been uncover regarding the motive of the attack, including several sets of anti-capitalism and pro-communist books and publications, mostly published in Farsi dialect. State Police officials confirm that they have enough evidence to incriminate three of the suspects. The fourth suspect has been deem innocent and schedule to be release. More details on the evidence collected and confirm on page 17-19 and page 21-25A.

Suspects to be incriminated so far are three males, all in their late twenties and residing in Na Sui District. Suspect A and B are currently residing in the country on an Oversea Worker Visa, issued seven months ago by Loyanese Immigration Officers in New Delfos. According to Immigration Database, the two were admitted on account of both possessing valid Delfian citizenship and free of any outstanding criminal record. However, it was also reveal that the Delfian citizenship status were issued only recently to the two men, only two months before they applied for Loyanese work visa afterwards. The two men enter Delfos at around the same time (from where unknown), and resided in the country for less than two years. Suspect C enter Loyan as a tourist/visitor through Na Sui Customs from Nukeallaya, only three weeks before the events of the attack.

HESAID investigators concluded that the attack is somehow related to elements of a extremist socialist/communist group in the sovereignty of Nukeallaya, as supported by internal evidence and information from Myrorian intelligence sources. The motive of the attack is suspected to be idealistic hostility, one aim at the way of life of the Loyanese State and People. The attack was highly sophisticated and planned out, pointing to a larger involvement and backing by a larger group than currently detained. Officials have warn of possible future attacks by this unknown group(s), and advises the government to place the State on high security alert until the threat is ratified. Details of solution and future action are on page 31-36 in greater detail.

Delfian Government,

Our intelligence has indicated that the alleged terrorists who were located in a warehouse near the Grand Imperial Residence fled directly west. Myroria would like to send a small special forces team to New Delfos to search for these suspected terrorists. It will only be a handful, and they will not bother most Delfian citizens. I hope to hear your reply soon.

We should have more cooperation, but I'm glad you asked for an incursion in New Delfos. Further cooperation between your intelligence and our SiS (Security/Secret Intelligence Service) would be appreciated.

We will handle this matter, thanks for the intel you have brought, this 'terrorists' haven't broke the law here, but we will investigate and we can negotiate for extradition of them to face your justice.

ooc: west of you is a foreign piece of land that is neither yours or mine, but fine like if they crossed to the other side. Did you think I would let your forces in New Delfos? Anyway, do you want me to RP what we do to catch this guys or simple report whenever I feel we catch them? And do you have positive ID of this terrorists or you just assume this people you are looking for are the ones that committed terrorism?
