Siege of Anchorage: Day 19

Admiral Dontiz was pleased. The preparations have gone well and so far unnoticed by the RLF. General Rommel stood next to the admiral. This has to go as planned. Nothing must fail. Admiral Donitz turned to his second Captain, do it. The captain smiled and saluted. Transports lowered their doors and loaded up the remainder of the soldiers and their equipment. The previous day, the vaster amount of the army was loaded up. Bombers flew over the city and rained napalm on it. The entire city burned. As the fleet left with its transport, the harbor was blown up by charges set in place by engineers. Finally the minelayers placed a thick wall of mines around the city. Dontiz smiled. If any ship wanted to use that harbor, they would have to at their own risk. And it would take  the RLF a long time to rebuild that harbor. Lets hope Kerak is ready.

OOC: are you going to RP the actions of the RLF at all, or would you prefer it someone else did that?

IC: After the evacuation of the Imperial troops, the RLF forces entering the city of Anchorage found it a mass of rubble.  A few structures were standing here and there, many were burning.  The people of the city were emerging bewilderedly from cellars and some from their tottering houses, knowing full well who had bombed their city to smithereens.

Erwin resisted the temptation to strike the RLF forces from behind.  It would be entertaining, but it was not his goal.

The city of Anchorage is taken, and its fleet neutralized.  However, its harbor is in ruins, and we suspect mines.  Advise that you land equipment on shore east of Anchorage, if prepared to make amphibious landing.

Our ships have left our ports already a while ago. They hall arrive shortly. Our forces are prepared for amphibious landings.

On board a Saletsian Tamarwa Class AAS preparations had begun after sighting land. The captain of the fleet gave orders to land at the place the Gallipoli-Chinese had sent them coordinates of.
The fleet of transporters were escorted by two destroyers, 1 air-defense destroyer, a frigate and two submarines.
Plans of sending more support were meanwhile being discussed in Bandana.

Frederick Zander, commander of the Red Liberation Army stood in among the rubble of the city. Clever Admiral Dontiz. He didn't want us to use the city. Perhaps it is time to talk. He turned to his second. Tell the Ministry that they should accept the Imperialist proposal. His second looked at him. Why, sir. Frederick glared at him. Because this war is a failure to listen. The Emperor and his nobility didn't listen to the people. So we should look good in the eyes of our allies and the world. We should agree to talk. The colonel saluted and left to relay the message.

Finally, the Feniexian airships and naval transporters, guarded by some battleships and multirole aircrafts, landed on Canadian territority. Thousands of soldiers on three different locations were formating, hundreds of vehicles were prepared. Soon, the squads of The Legion, Black Dragon, Steel Wyrm and White Dragon were ready, the Leviathan naval forces were guarding their back. Soon, all three groups will start travelling to Anchorhead, to break the blockade and free it from the RLF.

Emperor Paul I was thrilled. Word had come from the front lines. Fenexian soldiers had joined in on the Confederacy's side. Soldiers were enhearted and were rallying to the new arrival. He looked out to the city of Kerak. With supplies coming in daily from sympathitic nations and Fenexians strengthening the Imperialist lines, Paul I knew that the mobilization would be done in a few weeks. This war had finally turned.

Sergeant Tom Richards breathed peacefully for the first time since Anchorage. He was proud of the stripes he had earned. Now his army group was joined by the Fenexian Army and they were making their way for Anchorage. He may have not liked the destruction of Anchorage by the Imperialists, but he wanted the RLF to pay for their treachery.

We request permission to land military forces on your shores for transport to Canada.  Furthermore, we request that steps be taken to prevent Fenexian ships from making their way to Canadian waters.

Feng Hu, Defense Committee Chairman, Gallipoli-China

Anchorage was a wasteland, of no value to anybody.  The mines and the destruction of the harbor meant that neither the RLF nor the Imperialists could possibly use it for anything for a long time to come.  The only thing that could be done was to leave air squadrons outside Anchorage to prevent the Imperialists from retaking it.

However, with the addition of Saletsian troops and equipment, the RLF was prepared to make its assault upon Kerak, or to hold its positions.

OOC: could you provide a map saying where exactly these cities are?

OOC 1. Fenexian soldiers and ships are already in my terriotry. 2. Unfortunatly I have no map. St. Oz hasn't sent me back a thing saying he is done with my country map yet.

You promised you would act as peacekeepers. You said you would moderate G-China's attacks. If you allow G-Chinese forces to transport troops through your country, you are compromiseing yourself as a neutral country. If you allow G-China send troops through your country, I will arrest your "peacekeepers" and hold them as criminals.

That should attract their attention. What is the war turning into. General Rommel came into the Emperor's office with a piece of paper. Sir, the RLF Ministry has accepted the cease-fire and is willing to talk. The Emperor nodded. Good tell them that so are we. That should buy me more time.

This was this morning's paper, the Cree Confederate Times
Cease-Fire Called

The RLF Ministry and the Confederate government have agreed to a cease-fire on all fronts. The war that had started some time ago, is so far ended with the occupation of the southern parts of the Confederacy, the destruction of Anchorage and Saskatoon and the loss of as many as fifty thousand men, sources say. The summit will be hosted by Takasia in their capital city St. Takasburgwill involve represeatatives from G-China, RLF, the Confederacy, Fenexia and others. We all hope that they can come up with a peaceful solution to this war.

OOC: The summit meeting will be held in the Treaty section of this forum. All parties involved must send a represenative to the summit. No personal guards! You must name your representative in the forum. It is called the Cree Peace Summit.

I knew that.  It probably should have read "Furthermore, we request that steps be taken to prevent more Fenexian ships from making their way to Canadian waters."

Due to the current situation we canceled the huge movement of Peace Keeping forces we were gathering. Letting an ally through our territory does not make me a belligerent nation, and we will never lay down the support on our allies

OOC:i didn't had time to RP the peace keeping...go easy on me lol

The Grand Council convened. Chancellor David Morena sat in his chair and looked over a pile of paper placed. So, all industrial factories have been moved farther west, and they have been put to a full war footing. Tanks, planes, and other war equipment is pouring out of the factories. How about mobilization? The Minister of Defense stood up. My Lord Chancellor, mobilization is complete. The Territorial Reserves and the Imperial Army have been fully armed and have been organized into battalions that have veterans in them. Also many more people are either going into the factories to work or are joining the army. Davisd smiled. Waht about the Salestian fleets that keep bringing equipment and the rumors of a G-Chinese battle fleet? The Minister of the Navy stood up. While this ceasefire is continuing, we have opened up the Naval Reserve. Fresh ships are being brought up into the line. The Imperial Defense Fleet, what is left of the High Seas Fleet and the Second Fleet have moved in to blockade the Red occupied coast. The Chancellor nodded. Alright, close down the border between New Delfos and the Confederacy. I'm sure we have fresh soldiers who can guard that border. Overall, how many soldiers do we have now that the full mobilization is compelete. The Minister of Defense slid David a smaller piece of paper. The Chancellor opened up the piece of paper and was shocked by the number. That many!?
