Secret Service Operations
« on: February 02, 2007, 09:57:37 PM »
Slowly, the four man and two woman walked trough the bushes near a G-C TV station.
The leader, a thin man with a face-covering UNI-visor 2.0 and a mouth coverer turned around and looked at his squad members.

"Silence. You know what we have to do?"

"Surely. Seizing the station silently, kill or imprison the guards, and prepare the TV station for the highlight tomorrow." July Dale, a young woman with a black ponytail, clothed in a black secret service dress, said.

"This is just some news channel station. There might be one or two guard but there´s nothing to fear." Jack Cleeve, a middle-aged man with short brown hairs and a black raincoat said.

"It´s an governmental one. Be aware of any cases all the time. And now move on. We haven´t got much time less."

-----OOC-----
The Feniexian Secret Service is out to capture a news channel station near a middle-big city in G-C to break sending propaganda messages and send their own program which contains the whole truth about the G-C government as a invitation for rebel or resistance forces to contact Feniexia. It´s up to you, G-C, how good the station is guarded and how it looks like, how the security systems are etc..

The city of Soufli had been untroubled by the tomultuous events in the east.  The conservative Achaean Federation of Labor had called a sympathy strike with Macao, but it had been called off after two days, and the troops patrolling the streets were only a slight nuisance.  Many had come from the area originally, and knew the people they were guarding.

Corfu lay to the southeast, on the other side of the island, but that did not trouble the residents in the least.  Sure, there had been talk of an evacuation, but that was long gone now, there was no danger there.  At least that's what GCTV told them.

The tower lay in the center of the city, atop the tallest building in Achaea, and the third tallest in the nation.  It broadcast every day the wills and opinions of whoever happened to be in power at the time, and because Soufli was a city of commerce and a resource generator, despite frequent hurricanes, whoever was in power usually had good things to say about them.

The tower was only lightly guarded; why should it be heavily guarded?  The people liked it, it wouldn't be attacked.

One of the guards at the bottom floor (the studios are on floor twenty), sat smoking a cigarette and fingering his purple armband with the dragon on it.  The new government had issued these; they were supposed to be good for morale by ensuring that the national symbol was with a soldier wherever he went.  They were good for morale because they gave a guy something to fiddle with when he was bored.  The guard duty was certainly boring.  He barely glanced at newcomers anymore before stamping them in.

The grapnel hooked in somewere near a window. The Leader climbed up. After he was sure that no one is in the room, which looks like a small storage chamber, he took out a diamond tailor and cut of the lock of the window. He silently entered. Then, he looked down trough the window, and waved his hand three times. That was the signal for the others to follow him. Soon, all were in the room. The Leader looked for a ventilation-shaft. He found a small one, big enough for him, July and James Kerian (he was the thinnest of all except the Leader. He was some kind of pimply, black haired, pointed-nosed security geek.).

"Cleeve, you and the others will need to find another way. But two of them will stay here and take in the grapnel." the Leader whispered with his electronically twisted voice.

Jack Cleeve nodded.

Kerian was opening the fences before the ventilation-schaft with his small, multi-function, dangerous looking hammer-knife-screwdriver combination. He slowly took the fence down, and handed it over to John Ark, a huge, muscly, blonde man "for the coarse things".

"Open. Follow me." Kerian said, before he crawled in.
July followed him worthless.

The Leader turned around again. "Be carefull. If you got caught, you know what to do."
Then he followed Kerian too.

Cleeve got a uncomfortable feeling as he thought on the Zyankali pill in his mouth. "Hope I won´t need to use it"...he said to himself in a very low voice. "Come on. The floors are dark and the light´s turned off, so there won´t be anyone. Let´s move." he said to the other man and the other woman.

The breifcase was unnoticed by the guards doing their nightly walks. It was probably just left by a sound engineer. The guards were underpaid and overworked to follow proper protocal. Inside the breifcase was anything but the norm. Two lbs of Comp B, connected to a glass of ball bearings and an incindeary granade. It was initiated by a clotheswasher timer. set to 60 minutes. Jasham knew his explosives well. The timer would set off the comp b. The comp b along with the ball bearing would destroy all equipment used to transmit airwaves to the rest of the nation. The incindeary grenade would start a fire to destroy the rest of the equipment and any evidence left. As the agents moved down the hall, a large explosion devistated the control room. A large fire broke out uncontrollable by the simple water sprinkler system installed. Not even the chemical fire extinguishers would put out this fire started by a grenade that burns at 13,000 degrees farenheit. The agents were too late. All sensitive equipment to transmit their propaganda was destroyed.

OOC: and just how did you get here anyway?  Not that I mind, but just inserting yourself without a backstory is a little annoying.  Oh, Nathaniel, unless you're using mechanical throwers for your grapnels, I'm afraid I don't see how you could get them up twenty stories.

IC: what was that? he thought to himself as a dull thunk sounded from somewhere upstairs.  "Poition 2 here.  Did any of you hear something a few stories up?"

"Yeah," the whispered reply.  "I'm sure they're on floor twenty, and I'll just-"

"What was that," he said into the radio, but all he got was hissing.  "All units to floor twenty.  Something's wrong."

IC:
"We re in." Kerian said, as opening the elevation-shaft and entering the attic of the station.
The Leader and July followed him silently.

"Go, cut through the security service cables. Cut trough all electric cables but for floor 20 and those needed to send our little show." the Leader said.

Kerian nodded and went to the dispatcher-box near the elevator.

"Hope this is over soon...I really hate TV stations." July said.
The Leader nodded just.

----------
Floor 10:

Cleeve looked around nervously. Suddenly, he heard some strange sounds.
"Got in cover. Hide yourself." he ordered his companions. Then, he added:
"Lucy, turn out your damn flashlight."

Lucy, a woman with shoulder-long brunette hair and strange, deep blue eyes, blushed shortly, and then turned off her flashlight quickly, answered nothing. But she took out her silenced Desert Eagle, as she saw all other had their weapon already out.

-----OOC-----
My people are actually at floor 10 (except for Kerian, July and the Leader). But yes, they use mechanical throwers. My secret service is well equipped^^

And my background story...see, that´s some kind of surprise-mission by the Feniexian secret service due the G-C war. The agents inside are just some few members who got here with my army and separated from them later.

OOC: I understand why you're here, Nathaniel, that comment was directed towards WhereamIstan.

IC: Two agents were riding up to the twentieth floor in the elevator when it suddenly ground to a halt.

"What's going on?"

"I don't know.  Hold on."  She pulled out her radio.  "Elevator's not working, proceed to the stairs."  She put it back into her belt, just as the elevator began moving again, this time down.

The light in the floors under 20 began to flacker, then it turned off. It was now fully dark.

"They got it." Cleeve said. "Go on, we have to make sure no one is getting in their way."
"All visors are working?"

All nodded.

"Then let´s go. Draw out your weapons. But only shoot if it´s not avoidable. Our mission is to block the stairs, not to kill."

The 3 agents quickly sneaked in the long floor, and went in direction of the staircase.

ooc: fair enough here is the backstory to follow jasham.

It had been a relatively easy assignment for him taking all but three weeks. the first week was reconnisance and getting the needed equipment.  He followed one worker and learned his routine. Jasham knew that to get inside the building he would need to have the access badge. The sounds engineer frequented a small food market picking up the essentials for that ngihts dinner. Jasham moved up and made contact. "Quiet night, huh?" jasham asked. "Yea", the employee gave quickly. he was a loner, no family lived in a one bedroom apartment flat. "Excuse me", jasham leaned over and picked up an apple with it he also took the controlled access badge used by the employee to get into the studio. "Thanks.." The employee went home that night and got undressed. He realized he didnt have his badge on him. "oh well, must be at the studio.."he thought and drifted off to sleep. Jasham had walked into the front entrance where the security guard was playing his nintendo. "I left something upstairs right quick". With that, with not even glancing up the guard turned the key to activate the elevators. "What floor?" "Twenty" The guard picked up his radio and called in a sound engineer to floor twenty and went back to playing his game. Jasham moved quickly, he made it into the recording booth were the recorders played what was airing at the moment and placed the briefcase down. He opened it turned the timer to 30min. he closed it and walked out. He went down the hall and got a coke. As he exited the bottom floor entrance he said goodnight to the guard and vanished.

OOC: Still, there is the problem, first : other players mustt have the chance to prevent you from doing this, elsewhere it´s godmoddish. As example, you can´t say what the G-C guardian is doing, because he is RPed by G-C, not by you. You can only play your own units in almost all cases, and second: Whyever can you know that the FSS is planning to get into this station? Whyever is your nation willing to take part in the People´s War?

[ooc: one, GC has stated that the guard does nothing but sits there and plays his game, he rarely ever looks to see who he lets in. two, every person on the face of the earth has a routine of some sort..everyone. you find it, u abuse it, and u throw them away. third, I never said it was intended to stop your agents merely they were too late. The intentions of Jasham to destroy the station are known but to him. and last, I never said, nor did I rp any part of my government okaying this op. could be government sanctioned, could be a lone wolf scenerio. The only stance my government officially took was to back a true centralized government ran by the current government who also happens to the senator for our region. It is the job of sall those in the region to support stability rather than play a side. what a government does with it's people is to its own device. The goal of the region is to protect, and assist other governments if need be, not attack their government right out. That is an act of war. Jasham's actions had been sanctioned by the new government so it appears, but if it was hit motives to stop you or to cause havoc is unknown at this time in the RP. Dont throw Godmodding into it. I read all the posts I learn the characters, I watch the weaknesses everyone leaves in their posgts and i exploit them. I have a new nation, but have been RP'ing on Nationstates for about four years now. I just lost all my other countries due to inactivity with my deployment to iraq. any other questions?]

OOC: Hmm...however, why would you get up when it´s pitch black everywere and guards are running trough the floor? I think it´s ok when you take part in here, but you have to keep some rules. Oh, and if you take the elevator as I suppose, your char will be dead or trapped due the cut-off of the electric cables which provides floor 1-19 and the elevators with electricity.

[the bomb was planted 30 mins prior to detonation. Jasham had left before your team ever made it up there. You wanna talk about following rules. You posted the cutting of power lines to the building after the detonation. Jasham would not have died or been killed..he was long gone. but thanks for playing.]

OOC: You´ll surely need about 20 minutes to get in and out of the building. And if I heard the explosion, I never would tried to get in, I´d just chosen another station. If you want to take part in this RP, you WILL need to do this with more than just two posts. And you HAVE to declare your motives, and WHY you get in G-C. And, the guard will surely catch a look on Jasha, because he surely don´t look Galipolli-Chinesian. Plus, there are surely more than one studio, because the TV station look like it´s very big when it have 20 floors. So Jasha have to destroy all of them to prevent my agents from sending the truth. And that would surely take him longer than 20 minutes inside the building. And then, he´d get caught.
