Almost immediately, The military was placed on ForCon Charlie. Fast patrol boats secured the large warships, as they floated away from their harbors. All military bases stopped civilian traffic and hardened patrols were seen 500m outside perimeter walls. All border control points were closed and all commercial air traffic was stopped. The country had closed every door, window, and crack within the country. All cities were placed under Martial Law. APCs and Tanks were outside every government building from city hall in the smallest village to the presidential palace. President Abbas had made it perfectly clear. Find the traitors by any means, and dispose of them.

Mujoud Talili Moham called for his aide Lt Col. Muqtada Al Sudani, "How is everything coming along?"

"Exceptionally well, sir...we have leads on the case..and several suspects in...."custody".

"Getting anything out of them?" knowing full well he meant torture cells.

"Yes sir, We believe it to be A hardlined Wahabi group with association to Al Qaeda"

"Excellent, keep me informed.."

"I swear to Allah I know nothing."

The high voltage running through the car battery charger to the steel wool at the tips was enough to melt skin. Moham applied the torture device to the back of the young man. Screams were heard right outside the door, but the fortified jail, was far away from civilization. No one could or would help him.

"I know your brother is a part of this conspiracy, confess and tell me where he is and allah will show mercy."

The man uttered the location of his brother. Tears streaming down his face. Moham pulled out a .45 revolver and shot him in the temple.

"May God show mercy"

"Sir, the entire village? Isn't that a little overboard?"

"You have your orders Sergeant."

Through all his searching, Mahmoud found the location of the cell. He knew he was to make an example of them to the rest of the country. They were to be wiped off the face of the map, eradicated like the vermon they were.

"Battery 2-1, Request for fire ZQ90182 88712. Fire for effect."

"Sir we recieved some intel that there is a plot to assassinate the president." The corporal hands the papers over the Mahmoud. A group of Hajji radicals planned to overthrow the government with the help of a military insider and possibly a whole military division....

Mahmoud looked to his brother. Mahmoud had assisted his two brothers in the destruction of the traitors who attacked the battlecrusier "Tahmoud". Mahmoud was commanding general of the strategic arm of the military and  Commanded the Special Martyr Brigade's Armored Divisions. "I know not what to say brother, if these documents are true.....then the 506th Infantry Division will assist Lt. Col. Muqtada Al Sudani in your death and his rise to power.."

President Abbas looked out the window of his heavily fortified estate. He had been holed up in it, since the failed assassination attempt several years ago. "I need to know the validity of these documents..I need to know the truth."

"I swear to you I will find out, Furthermore, My divisions will take control of the city's defense, along with your personal protection twenty four hours a day."

"I cant believe everything going on, a military coup assassination attempt, High Evermore civil unrest, and now supremo has gone under..."Mahmoud hesitated..."I think this one we will leave my brothers out of." The general looked to the plan. "You have your orders general, may god be with you."
General Tajoud had his orders. He was to claim a string of islands, problem was...it was near a bustian settlement. He knew the two countries were friendly so he figured the direct approach most effective in this.

Colonel Trice, I have been informed that I am to lead a force yet to be determined to assist in the rebuilding of said country. Initial plans show for a naval landing at an island to the south-west of your claim. In no way is this a hostile act to you. Please respond.

The Armada that presented itself was the largest military operation ever undertaken by the government. The Armada quickly set sail from the three ports each fleet having it's own objectives to complete. General Tajoud monitored the progress from the command flag ship Mohamed. He watched as the radar detected the air force overhead en route to the islands. Several of the armies divisions were being taken by ship, however, a few select units were flown into ports and airports to prepare for the arrival. He checked the battle roster again...


all units were present and accounted for. He quickly checked his pocket watch his mentor gave him, 57 hours until they are within horizon of the territory. The units steamed at full power....

Elsewhere.....

Mahmoud was quickly passing back and forth..waiting for his contact within the 506th to find out the validity of this event. The Sergeant Major walked up to Mahmoud and gave his a sharp salute while stomping his right foot once. "I have some news sir.." "Tell me all about it Sergeant!" "There is no word of a uprising, however, Col Sudani has outlined a *War Game* initiated by the M.O.D. to test the strength of the presidential protection services. Little else has been said, however my contacts at MOD have told me, there is no war game schedueled." "This troubles me....why would you give this information up and turn in your superior?" "For I know that President Abbas was elected with the help of Allah." "Very well, keep this secret, and I may call on you before long."

The men of the 506th rallied outside of the command building. They were awaiting Col. Sudani to brief them on the "war game" they were going to participate in. When the men were called to attention, it happened. The brigade, battalion, and company commander were all simultaniously shot from pre positioned snipers. As the men tried to run they were surrounded by Medium tanks, APCs, and 10 full divisions of the Special Martyrs. All the men surreneder and were taken by the truck load to the hasty EPW camp. Mahmoud stormed into Muqtada's office, and glared at him. Muqtada spoke.."what is the matter my dear friend?"
"You have been designated an enemy to the state, a traitor, and a threat to national security.."
"what is this....what are you talking about?"
"You have been sentenced to death"
Just then the squad of Martyr Soldiers came in and opened up on Muqtada al Sudani. His body was buried face down, no marker. Troops who knew nothing of the plan were allowed back into the newly redesignated 901st. The others recieved the death penalty.

President Abbas sat at the confrence table with his two brothers Mahmoud and Mujmoud. Generals Omar, Tajoud, and Ya'ar were also present for this meeting. President Abbas spoke first, "So brother, Col. Muqtada was planning to kill me? What happened?"
"Yes brother, It appears that he was planning on using the cover of a military exercise to overthrow you and place himself in charge."
"and I take it you handled the situation?"
"I did, everyone in charge has been 'punished', and all others have been placed within another unit."
"General Tajoud, how goes the operation in Islas Filipinas?"
"Excellent sir, we have had moderate success throughout the region, and have begun to utilize their resources."
"General Ya'ar, How is the military overall going?"
"Excellent, we are forcasting a budget of 400 billion dinars this year. With that we are planning on bringing up several dozen divisions to full combat strength and readiness."
"General Omar also has a plan for the expansion to the south and The Al-Hadiq Islands."
"That is correct, however, I wish to refrain until we gain full strength before launching such a campaign."
