Tell me its name, for I will kill him. There can only be one panda on the internet.

Its name was simply Panda.  Oh, and there was Joe Panda, who was a guy my dad worked with when I was little.  People could never pronounce his real name - it was one of those really long Polish-sounding ones, so we shortened it to Panda.  I doubt he'd actually be considered competition, though.  Technically, even though he was one really hairy guy, that isn't the same as bonafide fur.  And he definitely wasn't cute OR cuddly.   :-P

Well Joe Panda as you call him was not on the internetz, he was merely in an office. But this Panda that you speak about must be destroyed before he plans to stop my wrath of "pandamonium!"

Yes, though hers is more original so it's not quite as groan-worthy.

No it isn't, pandamonium is original, pur- derived per-puns aren't.

Pandamonium has been done and pur/per puns have as well, as you pointed out, so both are old news (as it were).  The difference I saw, though, was that PUR punned her unique name, not "pur" like the sound a cat makes.  Maybe it's nit-picky, but it made a difference to me. ;D
