Don't get all philosophical with me. Although, while we're on the subject, isn't the idea of perfection rather subjective? For example, are H.G. Well's fictional future race more or less advanced than us?
Organisms are programmed, if you will, with instincts that help us survive; could the human race possibly evolve beyond the need for them? Wouldn't this eventually lead to extinction as other, more competitive, animals become stronger and faster?
For the record, I don't believe you are a higher level of human just because you like clowns. Start glowing in the dark or something, then we'll talk.
