I'm not insulting anyone, this topic is meant for you to post the most pathetic points of view of Europe vs usa or something, yours seem more directed to my person, not as pathetic, but also stupid. If you feel insulted, then you surely need help. Amasing how the wall of patriotism crumbles with mocking.

Plus the picture of Bush is labeled 'Europeans that love Bush', i guess you missed that.

Our technical skills are legend. Industrial Era came too late in Portugal, around the 1900. Since then the general 'we', haven't catch up with modern technology. There are still villages receiving their first electrical posts around here. On the counter effect, Portuguese elite electronics and robotics are one of the best, just don't forget some of the robotic parts of the Space Shuttle were 'Made in Portugal' (designed, not made). Oh, 'hate' is such a strong word, ofc English breaks it's latinic linguistic meaning. I don't hate USA or Americans. I'm quite friendly with some of them, but not the stubborn and arrogant that think USA is god's chosen country, and that Bush is guided by God. This past sentence doesn't have to have christian or religious connotations. As an ex-President of Portugal said once: "I don't doubt that Bush is being guided by God, it's just a shame that God gives him such bad advices."

We're in America, WE MADE THE JOKES! So you say them, they're funny for two seconds, and that's the first time you say them, not the tenth, twentieth, or hundredth. Yeah, but they got that far.  I thought they might be able to pull together an offensive explosion and topple the French.  And the group stages don't matter when the knockout rounds are reached; you may remember Italy almost lost to the U.S. (they salvaged a tie on a controversial call; in fact, the US were the only team to score on the Italians until the final).

Ouch.  I had them finishing second and I think I had them pulling a first knockout upset...I don't remember, though, because it was a while ago and I lost my bracket.  I remember predicting Portugal v Brazil (Portugal taking the win over their former colony) in one semifinal, and Argentina v Germany (Germany winning the best game of the Cup thus far with the home field behind them) in the other (though that may be a faulty memory, too).
