but the Chinese women's army isn't an actual army or anything. that's just the amount of females who are eligible for military service. in reality the whole Chinese military is in the 2 millions, and is actually shrinking in size since the Chinese gov't wants to make a more elite force.

EU's economy has been growing at a slower clip than the US's for quite some time now.  By the time they federalize they'll have been left behind.  China's obvious overpopulation problems, currency manipulation, and general growing pains when transitioning from a command economy into a free market (does the CCP even want to go free market anyway?) will catch up with them.

We discussed what a superpower is in rp. China has a long way to go before it can become a superpower. It has to get it's economy a little bit better.  If anyone in the world is next to being a superpower it would be the European Union. Once the EU becomes more united (as in the creation of a united European military), then the EU will become the next superpower

more united? united european military? lol no thanks. EU cannot be a superpower because it's not a state. The countries are independent, and we have superpowers as far as i know.

federalize EU? man where do you guys come with this. EU's economy has been growing faster than US's, that's why we are catching up. It would be antagonic to grow slower and catching up.

You think that's bad Delfos, I keep hearing about the plans to unify the Canadian and US economies into one, and maybe bring Mexico into the fold as well. As a Canadian this horrifies me, it's like someone suggesting you go to the dance with the fat, funny smelling, sweaty kid that nobody likes but who nobody can get rid of.

For what Taco said. I have heard of that. It's called the North American Union. Now hears the problem with the creation of such a union, there is only one regional power in NA and it happens to be the sole superpower. The creation of the NAU will destroy the Canadian and Mexican ways of life because such a union will force American ideals on them. The ultimate Manifest Destiny. No if Canada were to join such a union, it would join the EU if the EU allows Commonwealth nations join.

I would rather Canada not join the EU or a North American Union. Both would detrimental to our sovereignty.
I would like to see the UK pull out of the EU, and help strengthen the British Commonwealth. Let that serve as our primary economic alliance.

A North American Union is just a thinly failed plan to incorporate Canada into the American Union. We fought a war to stay out of it, damn it! I would rather we not abandon our history, culture, and sovereignty to appease a dream Yankees can't seem to get out of their heads.

If the Commonwealth turnes into more than it is like a defensive alliance instead of a trade and immigration alliance, then people might think the British Empire has returned. Which isn't that bad. I wish that I could live under the Empire like my grandparents before me. God Save the Queen!

Here here! I would prefer a strong defence/economic alliance between the Commonwealth nations to the EU, NAFTA, North American Union, or even NATO.

Maybe with Mexico, but America has historically always had an eye on Canada.
Of the three North American nations, which one is pushing the hardest for this to happen? The good old US of A.
