I concur with Shartor Kidding
Economic Left/Right: 9.65
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.37

Proud Constitutionalist

When the government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.

Tyrants from Hitler to Mao to Stalin have sought to disarm their own citizens, for the simple reason that unarmed people are easier to control.

I loved the Senate, and I hope to see it return.  Now I saw a few people complain about how the senate never did anything, and oddly enough it was all senators.  The Senate is only as strong as each senator makes it.  I found very few people even read some of the great Proposals Elu, made in the Lexicon and its easy to blame the collective senate, but honestly, I didnt see you do a better job at it.

I think we should elect a President, who then gets to appoint cabinet members.  The President would have to declear who he will pick for his Cabinet members if he shall win and what positions should be in the cabinet.  That way we know who we are electing, voting for every position is a hassle, and unnecessary.  This combined with the Senate could be a very effective democratic government.

I think a succesful region offers something for every type of gameplay. There are those who love roleplay, love ooc, love military etc.

Equally there are those who love the process of drafting and campaigning for legislation, and Taijitu ought to offer that too. The more opportunities for participation Taijitu offers, particularly to newer members, the sronger it will be.

I agree with Flem. We should offer something for everyone. It keeps a players interest up if they can actively participate.

Look at the US Senate.  The ones with the most seniority are the most corrupt.

Then let everyone vote. That would be the fairest choice.

That's oligarchy Terrazac.  Not something I think would be terribly popular.
