indeed if one is calm when they go to bed and actually wants to go to sleep thy can find the night quite relaxing and enjoyable - whether or not thy dream - if sleep can be defined as an absence of consciousness then surely isn't death just like sleep but longer? And if that is so, then why do people fear it?

And anyway, evolution has provided us with a sense of fear to keep us safe - if you see a lion, you run, for example. But I really don't want to get into a discussion about it.
