I'd like to hear each candidate's reasons for being mod before posting my vote.  Some of us have already started but think it would be best to sum it all up here and even some Q & A for others like me, who are still on the fence about certain people.

Music is the key to the heart.

"Once art to me was something far off, unfathomable and unreachable... But I discovered that the real essence of art was not something high up and far off, it was right inside my ordinary daily self. If a musician wants to be a fine artist, he must first become a finer person. A work of art is the expression of a person's whole personality, sensibility, and ability." -Shinichi Suzuki

Here are my reasons:

I only read the RP boards, and stay out of the rest of Taijitu politics (which gives objectivity) and a lot of OOC chatter in general.
I never played in the Lexicon, and thus don't have the history with people that that entails.
I've invested a lot into the RP world; notably expansion and economic RPs, the Decartes Stock Exchange, and shops.
I RP a conservative foreign policy, which was the reason I chose my island chain in the first place.
And I like to think that I have a unique way of RP'ing that emphasizes/mix storyline and expansion

...

As a moderator, I believe in the Lockian ideal that if you invest work into something, then its yours. So if you invest time/storyline into an RP expanding over an area, you should get it. And I'd prefer to see things resolved diplomatically, rather than by all-out/MAD war.

As far as real life political/economic views. Basically my biggest real life political/philosophical/thinker influences are John Locke, Edmund Burke, Adam Smith (and I realize the inherent contradiction in playing a nation called Mercantilist States :P), James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, and Woodrow Wilson; though I have a bit of a Keynesian streak too. I'm a true "liberal" in the sense of the word in that I believe in the right to life, free speech, equal rights for all, and the free market. Though break with libertarians in the belief in the right to unions and the right to education.

You can read my posts of G-C's Second Revolution debate thread to get an idea of how I think, and read my RPs. Also, I RP another nation on another forum (though, since I found this region spend most of my time here) which I wrote a pretty detailed Wiki for, South Nashville, which has a lot of my world view sewn into it.

Though I know many are just going to ignore this speech and manifesto by just voting anyway without any thought in it whatsoever. I will continue striding my will of such a privilege to have my name in the voting ring.

St Oz is a different nation as some of you know, its power surpasses many nations around the Taijitu and after only expanding once for a manifest destiny and to end a civil brawl, The Ozians never again expanded but instead prevented other's expansions and sometimes promoted others. I have used brutish tactics such as scorching, burning, and poisoning entire cities. Despite this St Oz never expands itself and if I was a Myroria or a Bustos I'd probably own half the world by now.

Taijitu is a new place, full of new people as our determined and hardworking recruiters especially Pragmia and others sacrifice their time to bring in others. We have new comers who don't yet have that feeling of RP and making constructive posts. As a moderator, I and the others would work on Introductions Stickies to RP. So if a noobie asks us what the hell do you do? We just simply give a link to the sticky.

Since St Oz is vastly different to Saint Oz. I will not abuse the map in anyway to give me more growth.

I will not delete posts unless it is obscene and against the rules of this board. Deleting posts is never a good thing unless the author of the thread asks us to get rid of it.
to be continued...

Now, I choose to follow the good examples of Oz, Merc and G-C and write a short summary for myself.

Most of you have probably not heard too much about me but those who have talked to me over MSN and over PM knows that I can be reasoned with but can sometimes be more stubborn than a mule having a bad day.

I have not been very involved in RP here in Taijitu due to me loosing interest in RP-ing as a nation almost completely, thus I have held myself to my own initiation-thread, "Arrival"
As a person I actively try to look beyond my own personal bias and try looking at the greater picture.
As a mod, I would only intervene when asked or if a conflict gets out of hand in a way that results in OOC abuse and then by firstly contacting any involved parties via PM and then preferrably discussing measures with the other mods before acting.
Also, feel free to ask me anything and I promise that I will answer as truthfully and completely as I can.

I do not want to make a lengthy speech but, will answer any question posed to the best of my ability.  So I'll make this an easy read by stating my two strongest reasons.

Reason One:  Voting record in RP Council shows I have voted objectively, keeping personal feelings, politics, and IC situations from affecting my judgment.  In relation to that, my management of the Resource List (I know it needs an update-been working on developing a RP bank) has shown I've treated everyone fairly and gave no one special treatment, for better or worse.

Reason Two:  I spend alot of time on the forums.  In fact of all members I have spent the most time on the forums than the rest.  ;)  So I am very active in the forums and there is no worry I will suddenly go inactive for periods at a time.
