The Taijitu Pacific Accords

     As one of my first acts as Delegate for this term, it is with great pride and pleasure that I announce Taijitu's first treaty-bound alliance with another power. A Mutual Defense and Optional Agression Pact with The Pacific. The inter-regional scene is becoming more dangerous by the day, and there seem to indeed be some ominous clouds on the horizon. We shall stand firm with our allies, come what may.

The Taijitu - Pacific Accords

Preamble

     In the interests of the common Good, and in the hope and aim of furthering mutual understanding and friendship whilst forming a force for Right within NationStates. The Pacific and the Free Region of Taijitu do hereby affirm and swear to the following articles.

Terms of Amity

     The Free Region of Taijitu and The Pacific,  to affirm mutual friendship between our two regions. Both members and Government Officials of said regions pledge to treat their treaty counterparts with the same resepct and courtesy they would treat members of their own region.

Non Agression

     Neither region shall knowingly aid any enemy of the other. This includes sharing of intelligence, military aid, or advisory aid.

Mutual Defense

     An attack upon one or the other, shall be considered an attack upon both, and responded to accordingly.

Mutual Aggression

     Should either party request aid in offensive operations, the petitioned party is expected to make every effort to comply. The inability to do so however, will not be grounds for cancellation of this treaty, and will be accepted in an understanding manner.

Shared Intelligence

     Both parties agree to share items of relevance in terms of intelligence gathered.

No, the reason to kick start the army, is because we're the best. Always have been, and always fucking will be. I will accept nothing less. We owe that to ourselves.

The MDP is in fact though, yet another reason beyond that mentioned above, as to why we need to be prepared for anything. Because if either Pacifica or Taijitu is threatened in anyway, everyone here can bet that I will not back down. Taijitu bows to no one.

This treaty has been discussed for a while now, and I am pleased to see it ratified as the first international act of SD's term. These are times when we want do go out there and claim our place on the NS stage, it is a time for more action and less words.

Seriously though, can I make a news article and announce this to the rest of NS? I was thinking about getting a news agency going here in Taijitu and this would be a great first addition.

Edit: I'll have an outline for this news agency posted by tonight and if I have permission to post this treaty elsewhere, I'll have the first edition written tonight as well. I'm really excited about my plan. ^_^
