Thanks guys, I appreciate the warm welcome. It occurred to me last night that some of the newer players may not know me, so I figured i'd post a re-intorduction of myself
I began playing NationStates in April of 2006 when I joined The Lexicon about 15 minutes after creating my nation, Sovereign Dixie. The forum was vast and rather confusing, but with help from TCM (Amy, who would later become my mentor) I joined the Senate, and then became heavily involed in Role Play, where I pretty much stayed until I was appointed by Insane Power to be a Director (deputy cabinet member) and later High Councilor of The Lexiconian Confederacy (a cabinet position which basically was the administrative governor of the Lexicon's positions abroad)
After Insane Power abdicated the office of Delegate, I ran on a platform that was basically pro-populous and anti-founder, as the atmosphere at the time was drifting towards that of a fascist oligarchy. I handily won the election, and set about carrying on with my reformist policies, not long later, I was removed from power following a dispute which centered around the Lexiconian founders removal of Ryazania from the region, without trial or explanation.
As Delegate, and rightful elected head of state, I would not stand for such nonsense, and demanded in no uncertain terms, that Ryaz be readmitted, and that founder abuse of the High Coucil (appointed by myself) cease immediately. Their answer was the overthrowing of my democratically elected government, and the seizing of founder control over the region.
Together with my cabinet, and other players in The Lexicon who recognised myself (as the elected head of state) and not Insane Power as the legitmate leader of The Lexicon, we formed Taijitu, a region dedicated to the rule of all, with nearly no founder influence or power. I was named interim Delegate, and oversaw the writing of The Constitution (great job, Pragmia!!) as well as the formation of the basic institutions which exist in the region today.
I sought re-election after a month and a half of rule, (which would have been the second half of my first term had I served out my full term in The Lexicon according to their Charter, which the founders later wiped their asses on) Though victory was nearly assured, I removed my name from the ballot, wishing for time to re-group myself and cope with real life issues which were going on at the time (a broken heart, among other things) and served as Amy's Vice Delegate until my loss of internet service roughly 2 1/2 months ago.
I have made life long friends here, who have shown me their hearts time and time again, and stood by me even when I was being an asshole lol. To all who have come here, I welcome you, and wish you the same joys I have had, and offer my assitance to you with any questions you may have.
