NFIC St Oz Rail Talks
« on: March 29, 2007, 12:26:43 AM »
Antonio Largiou sat in his luxury jet, flying over the massive nation of St Oz, a land that if all went well would soon have a rail owned by him connecting its two oceans. Its size was something impressive compared to the land the Irnotian Empire had shriveled up to. He always wounded since being a little child playing games, what it would have been like if Irnotia hadnt fallen stayed the wolds dominate force. It was only a thought, as it didn't, it had fallen, it was a power in ancient times, over 16 hundred years ago. What you once were didn't mean anything. He was evidence of that.

He was born a half breed, his mother a Fierin (the ethnic group in irnotia similar to the people of southern France), his father Ironian (main Italian Ethnic group). He got nothing from his father's family, he wasn't even a child to be taken into the family. He was raised by his mother, she taught him not to hate and distrust foreigners like most in his native land did.

With that, and some investment money to buy ships, he founded Nerdic. The name didn't mean anything, it was just one he had made up, but that didn't matter. He had turned Nerdic Into the worlds largest Food Concern, and was now going to go talk to heads of government about building a massive project.

He sipped his wine, it was the first from his newly purchased Vineyard. He was now to be accepted into the high society by the Census. He had more then enough money the land, and the fame.

-------------

Sextus Flavius waited at the air port with a care. He was to bring The CEO to where he was to negotiate. The plane stepped down, Antonio steeped out and was driven away. No time for tourism, he had a meeting, and he would arrive as soon as possible.

Let the negotiation begin.

The Ozian Res'shev guard led him in from the cold air outside. They patted down each of them if they had any weapons, neither side were allowed to have weapons during the negotiation except the Res'shev Guard. They led him down a hallway, decorated with Ozian Paintings, sculpture, and architecture. They then entered a large open area where the Res'shev was. 50 members all on two rows of desks up high. They all had green desk lights which were on. The light was dark and all that could be seen where the lamps and you barely saw their faces unless they leaned into the light.

"Is this the Nerdic CEO?" said one of the figures.

The Ozian Res'shev guard nodded and walked away.

"Subject Railroads in St Oz, Author of deal Nerdic CEO Antonio Largiou. Level 2 ordinance of clause. All accounted for? Aye yes, yes. Please state your Railroad deal Mr. Largiou."

Antonio drank a small glass of water then began to talk

"We are proposing a rail system on the northern half of this continent that your nation lives on. It will include a rail that connects your nation to the Affiliated Provinces, and to Derva. Those two rails will also be connected to each other. The fourth rail built in this system is the most important one. It will be a massive rail system connecting your eastern and western shore allowing foods to be transported across your nation reducing time and money spent on the transportation. It will allow for Nerdic to bring much more food to both you and the rest of our Partners.

We will link a port city that you feel is the best choice on each side of your nation together. We will also have two locations on this line that we will link that line to the ones going south. It will be a massive construction project that while it is being built will create a vast number of jobs in your nation. Then when it is completed their will be a very large location of employment on the Rails and at the hubs. This will also increase the commerce of the towns along rail system.

This project is going to be the largest of its kind in the long history of human civilization. Nerdic then comes to you to request your partnership in this undertaking.

Ive come here personally as the representative of Nerdic. I am ready to take any questions you may have before we begin to work on the nuts and bolts of this negotiation. “

He stood his Secretary/translator next to him doing anything she would need to. He smiled waiting their responses and first round of questioning

The 50 Ozians in the room were however not smiling, "Mister Antonio, who is going to pay for this large achievement? Is it the partners in Nerdic or do we have to pay for the railroads inside St Oz? We only have commericial railroads going across east and west of St Oz but we don't have a merchant railroad. Will we be allowed to use the railroad for other items? Are Ozians going to actually be Managers or in higher positions and not Nerdic Workers?"

"Well you are one of our partners. No the payment is something to be negotiated, It is possible for Nerdic to pay completely for the rails, but in that case for other industry to use our rails will have to make leases and payments to Nerdic. This is a business proposition, so we need to be gaining a profit from it. As for employment we will hire who we find is best fit to run them. At the beginning the management will be predominately imported employees who are already aware with our programs. Then as Ozian show their merit and who have the right backgrounds and skills they will by normal corporate procedures be promoted to where their skills would be best used.

These rails will allow us to serve you along with other national partners better. This project would bring vast amounts of money and employment to the areas it affects. procedures has a vast amount of resources at its disposal but extra funding is being gathered by the sales of stock and loans.

please more questions if you have them"

"No that is all, but there is going to be a group dedicated to look over all transactions, all conversations, and all dealings with this project, this group will report us any problems. If we find that Ozian Employees are being mistreated we will kick out the immigrants. We are done and you have full verification of the state of Ozia and its people." In the background each of the res'shev were stamping pages and signing.

"Thank you, we insure you that we will follow all labor laws of your nation. Construction will begin immediately. Today we are on the threshold of history."

With this he left, he had things to go, in the coming days the regular food shipments would come with engineers and plans to start this massive project.

The first stage had been cleared.
