We didn't think that there was a landmass between Asia and Europe until 1492, so we don't know what's out there. Oz, do we RP our own new findings or have you placed them already? And to tell you why I will begin to "colonize". I will colonize because the two wars I have fought will leave a dent in my industrial and agricultural industries, thus affecting trade around the world and creating problems in my nation. This isn't going to be a mad race to see who claims the most territory, I mean someone else may do that. But I am restricting myself to just to creating a mercantilism market within my "colonial" empire that soon makes my nation richer, as well as bringing it out of depression. But it will also make the "colonies" or dominions as I'll call them because I will allow self-rule, rich as well. It is basiclly a EU-type market. There will be no large-scale settling unless I find a few islands near the South Pole that are hospitable. I will instead place scientific bases and a small paramilitary force on them to not only protect but also to be a first stone on my goal of exploring the South Pole. So I will buid an overseas empire that benefits itself by making and manufacturing it's products and selling back to itself and also for scientific goals.
