If you think a recall is reasonable, then I would suggest that we adopt option 3, as with the first 2 options a majority (or a large majority) could use recall to stack the senate 100% in their favour.
As long as enough people support the Senator to elect him, I don't think we should remove the Senator. I do think we might want some political way of removing Senators but I will note that that is inherently risky.
With 7 senators, option 3 basically means 7/8 of the citizens voting have to vote to remove the Senator in order to remove them.
