I picked Hallucinogens since it can provide a mix of upper (at start), downer (at end), as well as get the fun colors and visuals.

I enjoy my entheogens on occasion for centering self. They are useful for deconstructing the psyche and ego of self. However I don't enjoy them for a base intoxication/fun times.

You bet Cider is alcoholic. 
A good english cider (like strongbow, for ex.) is stronger than beer. What kind of cider do they have where you live? Apple juice???

I meant in comparision with ordinary beers. Fortified beers is a different kettle of fish.
