OK, just what is OpenOffice and Libre?

I use a legitimate Word (MS Office), but this past year I've been using a lot of google drive so I'd say I've used more Google Docs than Word. Since sometimes I've to deal with people that only use OpenOffice and sometime send me sheets and docs from that program, I've got a plugin to read those files with my MS Office thingy.
but...I might use the most NotePad, I've been using NotePad so much...it's just so simple, light in memory while being used, light in storage, easy to delete and all, I like and use NotePad as much as possible. Yeah I might have used more NotePad than Word or even Google Docs. those .txt files are amazing, and sometimes I check website through that program as well. I want to write a "TO DO" list, or temporarily have information ready to be copy pasted like credit card/social security/addresses/emails/phone numbers, or a list of porn links, Taijitu RP ideas, logs, etc. So versatile.
