Why are serifs bad? Do you just have an opinion on serif fonts to appear clever?

why do you have an opinion on serifs? I work with lettering all the time and I've a degree on Design (well, not graphic but who cares), I'm pretty sure I'm entitled to have an opinion on serifs.

sans-serifs are easier to read, more direct and to the point which is kinda what they go for in business. I mean, have you see their google glass? har har har harrr....

A degree in design? That explains a lot.

It looks like something out of a children's book. I don't like it.
