I loved Lego so much that I owned Lego Racers 1 and 2 for the N64.

EDIT: Also Lego Island.

DUh! Nothing else was so versatile for a kid. You could make little machines, space ships, houses, cars, buildings, etc. The only thing that seems to beat it these days is minecraft, but nothing tangible can still beat it.
