Potential Rules for a server
« on: June 25, 2014, 06:09:31 PM »
I would like to use either SwiftMod or just vanilla

Preferably we each have one or two backup countries in case we get taken out in the main country, that way we can continue the game until everyone has been taken over and/or someone has control of the world

RP:

1.STAY ACTIVE (unless you say you will be afk)
2.It is a game dont personally attack someone (insults)
3.Role play is mandatory for all law modifications, political policy implementations/changes, military operations
5. You may rejoin as another country but you cant not delcare war over things that happened as another

War:

1. If you begin a Nuclear Program or Missle Defense you must roleplay it
2. You MUST be allied with attacker or defender if you are to join a war, you may simply declare war seperately
3. Occupy territory is not allowed to be use
4. You may Nuke provided you RP the rising of tensions or a secondary response to:
A nuclear attack on your country
As a last resort in a war of attrition
or When you have lost most of your territory and military force
5. Navy must be on enemy shores to invade and you must have won at least ONE naval battle
6. Covert Operations need not be RP'd

Front Line Rules are enforced; They are:

The attacking nation can not take territory occupied or behind the "front line" of enemy forces.
Both the attacking and defending nations must respect the line drawn by their forces during an invasion.
For the sake of role play and to make it easier to follow this rule, the host may reduce the game speed at the warring players' request.
You are NOT allowed to stack drop at any time during game play.(This means you are not permitted to split your units into small groups, and then spam a battle/enemy unit group with said units)

Economy:

(PIT)

Multi-Party Democracy: 65%
Single Party Democracy: 70%
Monarchy: 70%
Theocracy: 80%
Commies: 85%
Military Dictatorship: 95%

Communist States MUST HAVE a 100% STATE CONTROLLED ECONOMY.
China must stay a government controlled economy, unless government change has been RP'd

(Trade)

1. No GTM (Global Tax Mod)
2. Sector Taxes: 50%
3. Common markets allowed except for China...because fuck china
4. China must stay state controlled, unless government change has been RP'd
5. No AI dept dumping unless you are a third world country with GDP under 0.6 Trillon

Diplomacy:

1.Annexation- You must call a Vote to annex any territory that is not adjacent to your countries territory after holding it for 1 Year at Peace, It must be Roleplayed, You may annex adjcaent territory without a Vote, but must hold for 5 years and peace time and Roleplay its integration throughout those 5 years.
2.Buying/Selling Regions, the Trade Must be roleplayed and for a legitimate reason/price

Other:

1. You are allowed to sponsor wars
2. Defeated/Eco Fail You can rejoin as same Nation but must bring out of Eco Fail before anything else
3. Lost the Elections, You can rejoin as same Nation under new Leadership, Policies
4. If you get Couped, you can rejoin as the same nation, but as either a Theocracy or Military Dictatorship depending on internal laws(i.e. if a major religion was made illegal, you come back as a Theocracy, due to loss of approval as a Military Dictatorship, otherwise, come back as either)
5. The UN consists of ALL players within the game however people may Withdraw from the UN and they will not be able to vote on UN resolutions... (unless they make their own alliance, etc...).

NOTES:

1. I give credit to Keromor as most rules are based of his
2. Everything must be roleplayed

These are copied from someones thread on Steam, however they are being posted as a basis for our rules, i want to have them fully laid out before the end of the day, any suggestions you have for changes will most likely be used

Chinese should remain common market free, they can turn a small nation like Peru or Croatia into a 5000%-10000% resource nation instantly.

It looks good to me. Granted, this is virgin territory for me (heh) so these rules may not work as well in practice as they do on paper. But, that not withstanding, it looks good.

I don't exercise any control over RP, so though I personally approve, it's a good idea to get the input of the others who plan on participating before going forward.

I'd like to get a game going tonight to test the rules.
