  • Forsooth, do you grok my jive, me hearties?
For those of you who know, this is Eurovision, but for Taijitu of course, an international song contest of epic and terrifying proportions whose annual occurrence marks the gradual decay of civilization as we know it. I for lack of anything better to do with my time have decided that it is about time that our nation's had the chance to display their proud country's best, or more likely than not, absolute worst musical talents that they have to offer. And, who knows, if there are enough entries, we may even have a chance to lay down some judgment and pick the best of the worst.

The rules are simple and straightforward. One country, one song. Whether you want to actual find a smidgen of talent or just go for broke with the campiest song you can find is up to you. And of course, it would be nice if we could hear the song. Go, peruse the likes of Youtube and all the horrors and wonders and still more horrors that they contain...

And of course, I won't except anything from Eurovision proper. Originality in destroying culture is always nice, isn't it?

  • ^ The best film almost no one saw in the 2000s.
I debated between this, Common People (which is actually too good) and Mr. Tambourine Man, but this was too good...

Rocket Man as interpreted by William Shatner

"I believe every single person is extraordinary. The tragedy is that we
have a society where too many people never get to fulfill that
extraordinary potential. My view – the liberal view – is that
government’s job is to help them to do it. Not to tell people how to
live their lives. But to make their choices possible, to release their
potential, no matter who they are. The way to do that is to take power away from those who hoard it. To challenge vested interests. To break down privilege. To clear out the bottlenecks in our society that block opportunity and block progress. And so give everyone a chance to live the life they want." - Nick Clegg, Leader of the Liberal Democrats and Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom
