Endorsement Cap
« on: December 09, 2014, 03:09:57 PM »
The concept of an endorsement cap came up in IRC today. Do you feel this would be a helpful security measure to enact? Is it necessary?

What should the cap be, if any?

DISCUSS.

Dyr brought up that if we have an endo cap 50% is reasonable, and I agree with this. We could also go with the vice-del idea, though to fit our theme I'd recommend the title Director of Public Safety or something similar.

I'm inclined to Commandante or Endo Guard

If we went with the previous idea of having a group for such rather than a singular office I would be inclined toward "Endo Guard". However if going with a specific individual I would go with "Citizen-Guardian". That said 50% is reasonable for those not of the above position/s.

I'm against any endorsement cap. In fact the delegate should get every endorsement in the region to build up more political power for the World Assembly.

The endorsement cap would be for people who aren't delegate only. The delegate would be free to collect as many as possible, which as you state is preferable.

Again, I don't think we should have any sort of endorsement cap in the world factbook entry. We're entirely capable of holding onto the regional delegacy without one, it is intimidating, and it can breed complacency by the Delegate.

I would expect any "Endo Guard" to have at least 3/4 of the Delegate's endorsements, and for us to get in touch with any nation that gets close to them in endorsement count.

We can handle such nations on a case by case basis, saving ejection for those that are clearly foreign agents or generally hostile.
