Statement on the Conflict in Lazarus
« on: April 22, 2015, 06:49:30 AM »
As most if not all of you are already aware, a few weeks ago the Chairman of the People's Republic siezed absolute control in an auto-coup. The coup later turned out to be sponsored by the New Pacific Order, who sought to establish an authoritarian puppet state in the image of the Pacific in Lazarus. Throughout the coup, a dedicated group of Lazarenes have been fighting a resistance. This evening, a huge break occurred for the resistance. Stujenske, hoping to ban nations without expending his waning influence, deliberately permitted the nation of Kazmr to take the delegacy, believing he was loyal the New Lazarene Order. This turned out to be a miscalculation, as Kazmr declared his loyalty for the legitimate government of Lazarus.

Since this coup's very beginning the Citizens' Democracy has shown unyielding support for its friends in revolution in Lazarus. I come to you hoping that this enthusiasm has not waned. This is now a critical make-or-break moment in the conflict. Kazmr and the resistance's hold on the delegacy must be secured from the numerous foreign soldiers are still in the region and endorsing Stujenske. I have already asked all available members of the Citizens' Militia to move in and endorse Kazmr, but this operation is likely to last longer than three major in-game updates. I am therefore asking the Ecclesia to approve the Militia's continued involvement in Lazarus to defend the region against foreign occupation.

To be clear, Gulliver, are you asking for an expedited deliberation period and/or vote, or will the regular time period be sufficient?
