I will keep this short, as I would not like to mince words.
Since June, when SDixie returned, and especially since the Glorious Revolution, Taijitu has returned the strongest it has been since 2010. I am shocked at the level of cooperation and commitment from every Taijituan that has helped to make this possible. I think that for the first time since 2010, perhaps since 2007, Taijitu can stand on its own two feet.
When I drafted the Standing Ordinances and created the first two offices - Citizen-Delegate and Citizen-Initiator - it was never my intention for them to be roles of leadership. Never in a million years did I imagine Taijitu would grow enough that we would really need leaders, at least not in the conventional sense. But since then we have surpassed 70, 90, then 120 nations and we have taken steps back into the world stage. Allama and myself, and then OT and Dyr, were elected by the Ecclesia to help lead Taijitu in these new times. I will be forever grateful that I had a part in this.
But I am first a writer. My time spent helping to administer the region and represent it abroad has distracted me from the reason I returned to Taijitu in June - to write. I've never been quiet about how much NationStates gameplay irks me, and over the past two weeks it has become clear to me that it has begun to suck my passion for Taijitu away.
For that reason, I must declare my resignation from the office of Citizen-Initiator, effective immediately. It has been an honor serving Taijitu but it is time for me to serve it another way - by returning to our woefully-neglected worldbuilding community. I thank the Ecclesia for electing me and trusting me, and I ask that you elect someone new to take my place. In the meantime, I ask that the duties of my office be administered by the Citizen-Delegate, if she accepts.
I hope to continue to see everyone around, and I thank you all again for the opportunity to serve as Citizen-Initiator.
