Ancient History

So, recently on the IRC, there's been lots of discussion of the Ancient World, so I figured we might as well make an official thread to discuss and plan exactly what happened, before putting it on the wiki or whatever.

What has been determined:

Note: Most people have concluded that the Sindar "Empire" has been greatly exaggerated throughout history and was really more of a widespread migration with some invasions and raids scattered about, and the map depicts the areas they moved to or raided, and it wasn't actually a single state by any means.

Note2: It was decided to scrap the name "Haradrim" for the big Southern Empire due to a wish to minimize borrowing from Tolkien.   A current name many people have liked is "Ardharin" for their replacement.

Things to be determined:
The exact nature of these empires
A more precise timeline, especially of the spread of the Bronze and Iron Age

this is cool but I'll have to revise some of my continent's origins. By 1900 BCE the Seijin people controlled most of Phoenixia or at least it's important resources and coastal areas, but it was then Khemish people that came from before were starting to proliferate as Suna people, or at least it was what we discussed before.

The al'Ta nomadic peoples (ancestors of the Khem) had been wandering about since about 20000 BCE according to Khem, so they could have easily gotten there by then.

I was talking to Funkadelia on the chat last night, and he said that he did not want his whole country to be part of the Khem Empire.

You'd need sailing or a "land bridge" to get to my continent, the South Pole could have freezed in a large enough way for a land bridge, after all there's plenty of very southern landmasses contrary to RL earth.
