Ok. So we have an entire term of ProP government to rebound things.

Ideas?

First thing's first. We simply need a commitment to party activity. On the 27th of June we were supposed to elect a new chairman (or re-elect the one we had anyway). Only myself and POD showed up. Now SD is having connectivity issues, but Of the Us? Your presence would have helped that election actually happen. With just Gunner and myself, it was kind of a non-event. So we need committed membership.

I also suggest we develop a fully formed platform. POD's election post is a good place to start. We need to set ourselves apart from the ProP, we need to forge our own ideological identity. We also need to start recruiting. Regional recruitment is down across NS, so we have to make sure we get our party into the mind of every new recruit that pops into Taijitu. We need to pm them. We need to offer to help them better understand our political system.

I don't expect electoral success to come easy, but in seven week's time we should have a clear, concise platform, a candidate ready to run for the office of Delegate, and at least one member in the Senate race.

Well alright, lets get this kicked off.

Key issues:

Recruitment (regional)
I propose that the PNLF push recruitment as the primary goal of the party. I feel we should make a name for ourselves as the party dedicated to growing the region, the party of recruitment.

Voting
I'm a fan of instant run-off, personally. I propose the PNFL oppose any changes to our voting system.

The oath
I propose the PNLF support the re-institution of a loyalty oath as a condition of attaining citizenship in the region.

Opposition to referendums as a means to bypass the Senate
I propose that the PNLF propose legislation that would limit the binding authority of referendums, so as to keep legislative authority concentrated in the hands of the Senate, as the Constitutions intends.
