So, Dyr and I have kind of been running this whole Militia joint, with the excellent support of Myroria, Gulliver, Of the US, Delfos, & now Bustos, and we've done some good things.
Given that both of our long term deployments have been approved overwhelmingly by the Ecclesia, I'm inclined to think the region mostly likes what we're doing.
Of course, you haven't had to vote on our more short term operations, like helping liberate the region
Cascadia. So I'll talk a bit more about those:
Basically, if we have the manpower to assist in a liberation, we generally do. We've also spotted for invasions from time to time, and are looking at doing more of this. Given the broad regional support for Sovereigntism, I think this should also be an acceptable policy to continue and expand.
I've been bouncing around ideas for improving our ability to spot, and separately improving our coordination with other friendly militaries.
Earlier in the term, we also did some stuff in the Warzones and participated in an, ah,
not-quite-successful liberation attempt in Coalition of Catholic States (in which we were 11% of the force counting dual-members). With slightly better coordination we could have participated more, and it may even have succeeded -- since then I think we've improved our planning, but generally reduced our participation. Our operation against Aura Hyperia the same update may have led to that RP-oppressing organization's dissolution, which was certainly good from our perspective. I imagine we may see higher participation should another such mission dear to our regional values crop up.
Working with Gulliver and in consultation with Dyr, Myroria, and asking for the opinions of assorted others, we've developed a new set of
military flags for the Militia, which have been widely admired. I think this is a good set of flags for the time being, but if we want to revise them again in future, we'll keep to the same standards of quality
If the Ecclesia promotes me to Sergeant (by electing me), I will continue our current operations, improve our technological capacity to do these operations, and seek to improve our coordination with our various friends in the kinds of operations they're interested in: liberations with
FRA,
FTMS,
LLA,
SDF,
UDL,
RRA, etc; spotting for invasions with
FRA,
FTMS,
LLA, etc; detagging with
UDL etc; Warzone operations with the
E-Army,
NPA, and perhaps others; and perhaps other things that fit with our regional foreign policy.
