2) I like this question!! The answer to your question is quite simple, old friend. It's complicated for many reasons, none of them good. Its partly complicated because some people would rather have fancy legalese sounding latin terms, instead of actual easy to understand english. Most of it, however, is due to what seems to be an increasing trend to legislate the living fuck out of everything for no real reason. The current mindset seems to be that all actions in taijitu must be legislated by the senate. For example, some would say that as Delegate, I'm not even allowed to post in the senate, because there is no law saying that I can. However, there is no law saying that I can't either.

It seems to be the senate's opinion, that if it is not legislated, you can't do it. Or, they need to figure out if you can. Also, the Executive branch must be the senate's bitch, with an ever increasing trend to place "checks against executive authority" while the Executive has no checks on the senate whatsoever, not even a vote in the senate. I am probably the last Delegate of Taijitu that will be able to take a shit without getting senate approval. The mere act of me saying this, will most likely produce a flurry of legislation to regulate the bowel movements of the Executive, and probably even the citizens eventually.

In short, it's complicated because the senate was bored and wanted to add lots of shit worded as difficult as possible so that our legal area will look more impressive.

3) If you have common sense, get involved, apply to join the senate and attempt to be a voice of reason, register to vote, role play even. If you don't have common sense... we have a great OOC area :) (This is in general, i know you have good sense Akka)

Sensibility?  Where?  I need to shoot it!!

Thanks SD.  I particulaly like the Q 2 answer.  How reflective of real life.

Hey Mr. Delegate, I have a REAL question here.

Can you work your magic and get whomever to fix the toaster/give I-S the ability to see how many telegrams were sent out and how many people have been recruited? I want my money!  >:(

Oh, and what about my money for my ambassador work? Don't need no toaster for that...

All of that is supposed to be automatic. *sigh* unfortunately, Eluvatar is the one who has to do that, and I haven't seen him around in God knows how long :(

Tell ya what I'll do, I've got more tai than I need, or could use, I'll go ahead and pay you, a couple hundred, not sure how accurate the amt is, but it should cover it for now.

*cough*

I can see this without logging in myself, so I would guess that anyone else can.

Also, the sole Latin phrase in the entirety of Taijitan written law is "ex post facto", which appears on one occasion in the Constitution :P

We already have that ability and it's working fine.  I'll PM you, Osafune.

I-S said something about admin problems and not being able to see a list of active recruiters... Hence me saying to have the toaster "fixed."

Anyway, thanks a lot SD! ;D

Actually, the list of active recruiters works fine.  It's the Citizen List that's buggy.  Elu's aware of it, but he hasn't fixed it yet.

Some time ago I was appointed as a deputy minister. Why have I still not been tagged as such?

Will you be appointing a new Supreme Court Justice to cover for Eluvatar?

Thank you,

Until such time as I surpass SD in endorsements I would not feel qualified to make appointments without consulting the founders and the other ministers. That would, i feel, be courteous.

However, you make a reasonable point, and I will take it up with the executive immediately.

F.

Although I feel that the Founders should have no input as to this decision and that perhaps the Court Justices themselves might help, I thank you for your answer.
