Southern Ryazania has begun to militarise.

Dysanii government officials revealed that plans have now put in motion to militarise Southern Ryazania. The colony, which is under Dysanii control, has long been under the protection of the Dysanii Union Airforce, Navy and Army.

However, to stabilise the region and help it on its way to dominion status, the Southern Ryazania Security Forces (SRSF) have been officially created. The SRSF will be financially supported by both Southern Ryazania and Dysanii, with personnel trained by Dysanii military advisers.

Several academies have been set up throughout the country, but the figure of Southern Ryazanians already enrolled is not yet known. Southern Ryazanian males between the ages of 18-30 who have not enrolled in the SRSF have to attend compulsory military training one day a week - these men will form the Southern Ryazania Volunteer Army (SRVA), which can be called on in times of war.

It is believed by both Dysanii and Southern Ryazanian officials to be a positive move. The creation of the SRSF is the first move towards dominion status for Southern Ryazania. The current 1,200,000 Dysanii personnel in Southern Ryazania will remain. More details of these developments coming soon.

Support across the board

After the terrorist activites at the Cree Peace Summit, a strong wave of support has swept the nation. The government has also endorsed these activites, calling them 'rightious' and 'deserved'.

It has long been Dysanian foreign policy to cause instability abroad for further expansion prospects. The terrorists at the Cree Peace Summit were extreme, but never-the-less the government supports the terrorist group involved. One government official even stated, "What a shame those delegations were not all blown away!".

This event comes as Dysanian military prowess is at its peak; nationalism is rife within the nation, the people eager to prove Dysanian military might through imperialistic means. Emboldened by the lack of response from other nations at the terrorist activites of the unnamed terrorist group, who are said to be a recognised and popular terrorist group with bases and training schools within Dysanii, it is predicted it is only a matter of time before other nations fall under the imperial might of the Dysanian war machine and its terrorist allies.

Troops mass at Llanydern border

An undisclosed number of SRSF, SRVA and Dysanian forces have moved to the Southern Ryazanian border of Llanydern. Large numbers of troops with armoured support have been spotted around the border, but for unknown reasons. Dysanian military leaders insist they are conducting military training exercises, even though there is an estimated combined total of three million personnel located at the border.

Dysanian naval units have also been reported to be patrolling the Western waters of Southern Ryazania and the Southern waters of Metz Minor in large battle groups. Wether the total amount of personnel stationed on Metz Minor has increased significantly is not known.

As the line is held by our gallant troops in Llanydern, military officials officially declared today that campaigns in Chinese Loyalist and Mor'os had commenced.

The UASS, blinded by their confidence of winning, have underestimated the Dysanian Empire. While they fruitlessly focus their efforts on our strong, iron lines in Llanydern, we begin our attack on their members and allies. The UASS has carelessly thrown away any tactical advantage internationally, as their lack of over-seas preparations has allowed our mighty fleets and troops to wage war on their home soil.

Dysanii arms!

Federal soldiers have been dispatched to the Dysanii-Canada border in response to the conflict that has occurred in Canada. Officially issued as a reaction in the name of national security, it is believed there are exterior motives to the move by the Dysanii military. Current estimates put the total troop strength along the border at 30,000.

Dysanii looks West

Reports now put the total troop strength along the border at 210,000 men. This figure is set to increase significantly, as the army commandeers internal transport methods to the point of disruption; troops, tanks, and equipment clog the rail networks, and convoys of trucks stretch over huge lengths of road.

When asked about the deployment of forces along the border, a military spokesmen commented that the army aimed to have a '50% total troop strength deployed'. If to be taken officially, this will put a massive 750,000 personnel at high alert status and concentrated along the Dysaii-Canada border.

"National Security"

The order for the mobilization of the National Reserve Army has been issued, allowing two weeks for all enrolled men to proceed to their designated bases. Following this a further two weeks of intense training will commence, along with distribution of equipment.

This comes as Federal troops already guard the border, The Dysanii Army itself having been mobilized and transported weeks ago. Why the reserves have been called up is unknown, though it might be thought that these men will be contributed to 'border defenses'. Already, some 600,000 troops patrol the Dysanii-Canadian border. Worries grow among the public as, along with the NRA, roughly 2,500,000 men will be in the field. This leads to speculation that the official reason of 'national security' is being manipulated.

Personnel of the Dysanii Airforce and Navy have also experienced grueling training exercises, and military inspectors have been dispatched top both the Airforce and Navy to ensure professional standards are maintained and that ammunition is still effective and in plentyful supply.

Government hits out out Canada

The government today issued a report into the destabilization of the Canadian nation. The report is seen my many as a 'War report', as it deals with he current state of Canada. Points within the report cover a range of militaristic conclusions, including but not limited to the weakened Canadian economic position, battle hardened but tired and (now) fewer numbered Canadian armed forces, the plight of people within destroyed Canadian cities and the huge financial burden of the war it has been fighting. It is clear to see from these points that the Dysanii government is compiling information into the self-proclaimed great power, and may be creating plans to effectively capitalize on these current weaknesses.   

In relation to the border forces, some reports estimate 800,000 men, whilst others confirm the number to be 1,300,000. Indeed, it is difficult to determine the size of the massing Dysanii forces as they have been so quickly mobilized.

Dysanii armed forces continue to swell.

The field strength of the Federal Army has increased massively. Over the many months since the initial military build up along the Dysanii-Canadian border, raw recruits have been drilled continuously and filtered into the already full bases along the border.

Unofficial figures now put the Federal Army at a whopping 3,000,000. The state has also gone as far as to take command of certain rail, sea and road transport lines off of private business, whilst factories under government supervision have been churning out huge amounts of unknown resources and materials - indeed, this entire operation smacks of Government intervention.

If publicly available figures are to be examined, this makes the Dysanii ground and air military might significantly superior to Canadian armed forces, even if they still maintain a larger naval presence. Many are still confused as to what this all means as the population digs deep into its coffers to pay for such a large military operation.

Army insurrection swiftly crushed

Within the last few days, a revolt has risen and been extinguished. Some men of the 98th - mostly 'conscripted' recruits - took arms against the Military Command two days ago at Longhorn Base, East of the Dysanii-Canadian border. Bearing slogans such as 'Whats the point?', 'Send us home!' and various other remarks on the lack of hygiene at some of the newer military installations along the border, the 700 men, from various companies, brandished loaded rifles and barricaded themselves within a portion of the base.

The Military Command immediately reacted to this. Two companies of crack Dysaniian infantry and one company of the National Reserve Army were dispatched from Fort Young and arrived several hours later. With the aid of five 120mm mortars, the 390-strong strike force hit the defenses hard and a chaotic battle took place. Thanks to the support of artillery, the strike force was able to penetrate the defenses and force the recruits to surrender. 150 men were killed in the firefight, and 30 NCO's were executed.

The Military Command now has plans to disband the entire 98th and send it into other Armies to avoid any other such insurrections. Many of the people, who have become familiar with reading foreign newspapers, have called for better conditions and an end to the recruitment campaign until a war is at hand. In response to this, several policies are being enacted upon the Military Command in relation to the better accommodation of the needs of the Federal Armies situated along the border.

Obtaining the materials and resources needed to maintain such a force have also been a problem. Even with a heavily urbanized society such as Dysanii's, the production requirements are ever increasing, and the government is making sure that with the help of Dysanii Drachma imports in key materials are constantly flooding the nations ports - this may also, the DBC concludes, be a stockpiling of resources should the country go to war and shipping lanes be harassed by naval conflict.


Over the many months, the build up at the border has become huge, with as much as 3,000,000 men involved. The DBC has collected what it believes are official figures in respect to this. The current forces along the border are the Federal Army (1,200,000 personnel), the National Reserve Army (NRA) (800,000 personnel) and the recently established army for war-time semi-conscripted units - the Army of the Republic (AotR) (1,000,000 personnel). Something big will happen soon, upon confirmation of some valuable, yet unknown information.

Invasion!

The Dysanii war machine has been set in motion!

Troops of the massing forces along the border finally crossed the border in the early hours of this morning. Thousands of soldiers poured across towards war-torn Toronto, the first objective of the invasion now public to all.

Nothing official regarding the advance has been released, although our military correspondant did capture this picture of Dysanii soldiers moving through the harsh Canadian winter, with what appears to be a broken down tank.
