Flamaca-Nisomia
« on: October 21, 2007, 08:38:38 AM »
The Disputed Territories of Flamaca-Nisomia has a long and varied, often disputed history.

This history began in Hyurle, where Flamaca was formed, and its puppet, Nisomia, also formed.

The two nations were at war a lot, with Flamaca just doing routine pummelings of Nisomia to keep them from becoming too strong to overthrow Flamacan rule.

Then, when the pummeling was about due, President Lonkalis Fros had an idea. Flamaca was a landlocked country, and Nisomia was an island. As such, Flamaca had its entire Navy docked in various ports around Nisomia. So Fros ordered a midnight strike on the unsuspecting Flamacan ships, destroying the fleet. King Henry Dawson of Flamaca was furious, and immediately declared war on Nisomia. However, Fros knew his quarry well, and immediately set about making formal agreements with Hotchilly Willy, the country closest to Nisomia on the mainland, and Hotchillian and Nisomac troops were set up on the bridge connecting Hotchilly and Nisomia. Hotchilly also had an agreement with Flamaca, and Dawson thought he was free to cross the bridge without let or hindrance. An ambush was set up on the bridge. The Hotchillian troops blocked passage on the bridge, and when the Flamacan General demanded his men be let through, the Hotchillian commanded killed him. All hell broke loose after that, with Nisomia winning the war.

In the history of Flamaca and Nisomia, 100 million soldiers and civilians had lost their lives during the numerous civil wars, and Fros and Dawson decided enough was enough, and that the country be ruled as one, but with the two countries also acting as separate states.

Every two years, the federal leadership swaps between Flamaca and Nisomia, with King Henry Dawson of Flamaca being the current Head of State. Both leaders, however, rule the country.
