Support For The Canadian Claim of Acadia
« on: December 04, 2007, 11:17:47 PM »
The Canadian government wishes to allow the Acadians of western Dysanii self-rule and a defense force. As some may know, this is the claim that the Canadian Empire has made. The Acadians will be able to set up a kingdom with the Empress of Canada as Queen, but she will be a figure head. The real power lies in the Prime Minister that the Acadian people will vote for. A parliament will be set up and a defense force will be organized and will be prepared to protect the Acadia alongside the Canadian Army. We will appoint a governor-militant that will lead the military and will administer over the region until the Prime Minister and the Parliament are elected. A governor-general will then take the governor-militant's place and will represent the Empress. Some members of the Allied conference believe that IPO should do this, but I feel that the Canadian government should do this, because these people are closer culturally to Canadians than anyone else and we will not force our culture on them becuase they already have a similiar one.

Red is the Canadian claim, yellow are a separate group wanting their independence.

I propose that IPO be allowed to send observers for the elections to keep an eye out for any irregularities.
There is also the question of how the remainder of the nation of Dysanii might react to such a move.
I think this should be discussed with all parties involved.
However if the elections show that it is the will of the people to become part of your ntion than we should honor and support there decision.
I would however like to hear the opinion of the other delegates on this.
The power we hold comes from our citizens.
And they may take it away as well.

I would like IPO to be there to make sure the elections go the way they are supposed to. But they will not become a part of my nation, they will become an independent nation of their own, but they will share the Canadian monarch with Canada, that's it. She will be a figurehead. The Acadians will rule, while the Canadians will reign.

Make sure the elections go the way they are supposed to?

I don't like the sound of that.

lol the way they o is the way you want them to go, even with RL UN or occupied territories.

IC: Elections? I think IPO should arrange a referendum in North Acadia, South Acadia and Moonhattan island to know the intention of the population, I think it will be satisfactory for Canada since they have allot of similarities and sure they don't want to be cut like the other nations want.

On top of that, IPO should arrange a referendum in the rest of Dysanii, including Valhene, about independence and freedom. I doubt they will like to hear what the power hunger nations and alliances want to do with their land.

I don't know, the Administration seems more likely to support unrecognized fake government that lead insurgents and terrorists against our nations without even consulting the other delegates. I'm sure your referendum will take long time.

The ballot showed that fifty-six percent of the people under the Canadian occupation want to join the supernational Pan-Canadian Federation as an independent kingdom.
