Greetings Taijitu.

I am The Church of Satan, or CoS for short. Why is this my name? I'm a laveyan satanist. Anyone that doesn't know what that means, go ahead and ask. Although I would prefer you visit the official website. It has all the answers to most if not all of the questions I know you'll ask.

My time in NS began around April 13th of 2013. I moved to the region NationStates because I liked what MikesWill had in the recruitment TG. I stayed there for maybe a month and decided to look for something more than idle chit chat. So I went to XKIs. After a few weeks Grub banned me because of my name. So I found myself in TRR. I've maintained citizenship there ever since. I've become active in Spiritus too. As a result I began helping Renegade Islands rebuild itself. Sometime after I joined Lazarus too. My main focus in NS is split between my duties as Foreign Affairs Officer at RIA, Minister of Information at Spiritus, Judicial District Governor at Lazarus and journalist at The Rejected Times.

As for my life outside of NS, I am an aspiring chef. I love making a mess in the kitchen, heh. I'm an avid reader as well, with a humble collection of books. I like to read about cars, wildlife, ancient Egyptian culture, zombies in pop culture and I always keep an eye out for rare books. I obtained one earlier in the year. I read fiction as well. I'm a big fan of H.P. Lovecraft and Stephen King. I have some James Patterson, Patricia Cornwell and Tolkien, among others. I do some writing too. I write poetry and short stories. I got a poem published in The New York Times a few years ago. I'm writing a novel currently. It's slow going but I'll get there.

Welcome CoS! I am sure you will fit right in with our relatively diverse region. Many of us are also very inclined to making magic happen in the kitchen. Reading and writing are vastly popular among our citizenry. What was this rare book find you obtained? (I personally dream of a first edition printing of The King In Yellow)

Well when I was reading The Satanic Bible, it spoke of one of his inspirations, William Mortensen. He was an art photographer famous for Hollywood photos during the 1920's, 30's and 40's. He wrote a book about photography called "The Command To Look: A Formula for Picture Success." It was published in 1937 and has been out of print for some time. I came across a spiral-bound copy, which set me back $700.

Hello and welcome to :taijitu:

It's lovely to have another avid reader about, and I think you'll find a few us with whom to talk cuisine.

Do you catalog your personal library? Very nice Mortensen find, indeed!

Indeed I do! Art, in all its forms, are important to me and this was an opportunity I just could not pass. And thank you. :)

I take great care of my collection regardless of its rarity. I am of course more careful with rare books, but each book I have is important to me. So yes, I do catalog each and every book I own, even my textbooks left over from college. Thanks. :)

Glad to be here Wast. ;D
