Before TV was overtaken with anime, Teletubbies, and cruddy Showtime porn, there was a day where all kids - black kids and white kids, Jews and gentiles - could wake up on a Saturday morning and eagerly turn the knobs (Yes, turn the knobs) on the TV. Lo and behold, for before this generation was the greatest generation of cartoons - Looney Tunes, Superman, and yes - oh yes - Transformers.

But before long, Transformers would unfortunately fade away, to be replaced with crappy additions like Beast Wars and action figures. And before Transformers could dig itself out from the layers of crap built up on top of it, that crap was piled on with cheap, stupid looking tin headgear. For the golden age of cartooning had been replaced with...Japanese anime. The days of yore were never to return. Alas.

Too bad there are many more good animes than there are western cartoons. Even the poor ones cancel each other; a dozen pieces of crap like Naruto or Inuyasha are met with He-Man.

Pfff, anime is some fucked-up shit. Then again, so is hoving in midair before falling off a cliff, but that's not strange to me because Wile E. Coyote doesn't have tall, purple hair.

It's things like Naruto and InuYasha that give anime a bad name... Bleach in my opinion is also one of those because it's the best example of a good show translated very very poorly. I enjoyed the subtitled version but the English version is terrible... My favorite so far though are Fullmetal Alchemist and Blood+...
