"Team Evo is currently eating in Mess Hall Five. I will bring you to them, please come with me."
The Army rep led the Delfian team to a waiting shuttle. A Navy driver nods at the Delfians in greeting and started the shuttle motors. The shuttle moves across the tarmac, then onto a access road. As he drove, the driver gave a brief intro on the naval base.
"Found around 52 years ago, Yaolin has been serving as the main shipyard and base of operation for the West Fleet for decades. Well, people moved in, and before ya know it, it's a small city with 60,000 residents living in houses around the main base! Most of them work in the military, but you got a few citizens who came here for the fresh ocean view. In any case, Yaolin's an untouched beauty in Loyan, natural forests and hill-land for twenty kilometers around...beautiful....all own by the Navy, haha! Well, here we are..."
The LA rep charades the Delfians into a large block building of plain white concrete. Upon going through two sets of doors, they arrive at a large expansive mess hall. It was empty, save one table where nine young males and females were seated, chatting away.
"So anyways, my Prof was pushing me for that paper..."
"Uh hm..."
"...Mr. Wei! What's up?"
"Now that I got your attention...I like to introduce you people to the Delfian team you will be working with. Now, I'm sure you guys will get along and do your best on this project you have been assign to. Why don't you ten introduce yourself. Summer, you go first..."
"Kay! I'm Summer Hia Sia, third year enrollment in Master of Physics, nice to meet you!"
"My turn! Maru Gian, Computer Engineering degree graduate of Anyia University!"
"Sen Hung Tang, Computer Engineering degree graduate and an electronic engineer of Loyanese Labs. Good to meet you."
"Lai Shu Gwan, senior aerospace engineer of the Anyia Aerospace Institute. I'm just here to watch over these kids."
"Kio Chan, mechanical and metallurgy engineer graduate of Ni Yai University! Don't listen to Lai, he's only three years older than us!"
"Mei Kohona, communication and digital analyst of Defense Intelligence. I'm in charge of shooting anyone who deserts this project...haha, joking!"
"Fen Shin, Masters of Science and junior engineer of Loyanese Labs."
"Tinny Fong, at your service. Two year designer in Loyanese Labs and State Projects. I'm also team cook!"
"...is someone missing? There should be ten..."
The LA rep looks around the mess hall, hoping to catch out the missing member of Team Evo.
"I'm terribly sorry Mr. Barbosa...the last one is a bit... reserved."
Just that moment, the doors to the mess hall swing open. A tall and well posture man walks through, his eyes scanning the assembly of people. He walks up to the LA rep and bows.
"Sorry I'm late Mr. Wei. I had a hard time finding my civilian clothes..."
"Oh, that's alright! We were just introducing ourselves to the Delfian team. Why don't you do the same?"
"Yes Mr. Wei. Ferin Tang, Drillmaster of the Loyanese Army, electronic warfare and surveillance branch of LAW. Pleasure to meet you..."
Ferin salutes the Delfian representative and politely parts off, then walks away to a vending machine beside the wall. The other members of Team Evo begin whispering among themselves, and giggle out. Ferin ignores the chatter, which was most likely towards him, and proceeded to insert his coins. He retrieves his bottle of Sapharia and sits down alone on the table beside the others.
"Well now that's done, let us hear from the Delfian team! Now children, listen up! It won't be polite to not know the names of your co-members!"
